Cant help myself Tinkering in the garage, this is the prototype for my door mounted gun rack, held by electric window and bungie, yet to be finished and painted, I tested it last night, benifts are you can shoot alone and open/close dooor to pick rabbits without all the faffing of Rifle in and out the window, works with the scope lamp fitted and i can also red lamp for eyes over the top, shot 10 last night so happy it works :good:

Be warned resting the gun by the barrel may not be the best idea. It can result in zero moving.

Otherwise looks heath robinson-tastic, or MacGyver-tastic

a good point sir and one i thought of half way round the farm on a bumpy track, intend to mod 2nd version taking that into account, but I think the concept is sound enough :good:

Definetly Heath Robinson tastic, and on a brand new motor as well.

Did you have some offcuts left from the trip to the DIY store?

If you want some carpentry advice you only have to ask. :whistling:

Mart was thinking about adding some additional storage space if you could take a look in Walnut plz

no seriously its a mock up for what will become a steel tube construction finished in heat shrink plastic or foam? I was going to hang it from the roof bar but you cant get the door to open unless you mount it quite far out, I realised my mistake in letting the barrel rest on what was just a mirror mounted Rifle rest, The stock rest was the addition in trying to overcome the need to hokey cokey in out shake it all about every time you want to take a shot, I feel confident the final product will turn heads :innocent:
