I have growing at work on the widowsill the following

A four year old Bolivian Rainbow (very Hot)

This years cuban black (HOT HOT HOT)

this years peach habanero or devils tongue ( Too hot to handle)

I am however plaqued this year by tiny flies that live in the soil. They are about 2mm long and do not seem to have any effect on the plant or the fruit. they are just nuisance around the office.

Anyone have any ideas what they are and how I can treat them?

Jim

i must look in the recipes thread more often.

It would seem appropriate to have it on the thread SP

Thanks

Jim

P.S if anyone wants someseeds off the bolivian Rainbow drop me a mail. Since planting four years ago it has always had fruit on, even in the depths of winter. Fruit go from purple, to green to yellow to red. Hence the name rainbow.

I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Three mature, full of fruit plants devastated. I bought some greenfly spray, used that and managed to salvage two of them. The 3rd I had to bin.
