Hubertus
This picture shows my rifle i use normally. Its a Mauser M96 straight pull in caliber .308 Win. I have two scopes the bigger one is a Zeiss V 3-12x56 (illuminated recticle) for shooting at late evening and moon hunting for boar and a smaller one (Docter 1,2-5x32) fo driven days and stalking. The mount is a Leupold Quick Release which is a really good mount. Never had problems with changing the scopes. They have been always very accurate. The rifle is really precise. 5 Shots with a diameter under 2cm is reproduceable (correct word?) with Geco Ammo. Hubertus
Hubertus
This is my pistol. A Heckler and Koch USP Compact in Caliber .45 Auto. Bought it two years ago but don't need it really. Taking it with me hunting is not really a sense in it. Could use it for self defence but there is actually no danger for me But do some plinking with it is good fun. pete evans
is it still called plinking when its a .45? i would assume it was called blamming or something like that.
Hubertus
oh i don't know really. Thought plinking is the description if you are shooting for fun on targets. If i am wrong sorry. Hubertus
Wookie
You're not from round these parts are you??? If you _can_ use a .45 for plinking, I'm really envious. I always wanted the SOCOM version, but since I live in the UK and do not have a genuine need for one (Not James Bond/SAS/terrorist/insane/criminal) I have to make do with playing Counterstrike at work! Sweet rifle though Wookie
the last engineer
I use a little smaller version of a plinking gun :o

Aled_cky
love the pistol grip TLE.. nice long-ish barrel for a pistol which is nice.. very nice rifle you've got there oddbob, according to the guy that models in the Remington 1100 Competition Master grey synthetic does not absorb the heat like black synthetic in the sun? is this true or was he just talking rubbish :o Aled
oddbob
I don't know about the heat absorbtion because I live in the North East of England, where summer temperatures rarely rise above the temperature of a pint of lager in London :o . Allegedly. But thanks for the kind comment, I think.

oddbob
Hello Hubertus. It's a lr. I also have a Cz in 17HMR, but I have been thinking of changing it for a 22 Magnum. In the UK we have to apply for each different rifle, and have a reason to own it. It is vitually impossible to own a handgun now if you live on the mainland, and we can only have semi-automatic rifles in 22 rimfire caliber. The government is reported to be looking at allowing us to have 17 semi-autos, but they will probably hit us with more draconian legislation to go with it. We are supposed to have a right to own a shotgun, though that right has been erroded by each government over the years. Is it true that you may own assault rifles, as long as they are not black? oddbob
Hello jonno 357, nice collection :o What barrel is that on your 1022? Do you find the comb a little low for a scope? It looks as if you got a later model CZ to mine, I had to change the butt-pad as it was plastic, fitted an adjustable one which gave a better length of pull, Roger at South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies said he could have sold my rifle a dozen times over when it was in getting the barrel cut down and threaded, I will get a picture posted as soon as I can. Found one from before the barrel was done....
