I thought I would kick this one off with a short post because I got up at 5 a.m and am knackered.

Anyhows, we had a great day out in Suffolk at Ferretboys (Alex's) shoot.

MC, Broken Man, Evil Elvis, Flashman, MC, Baldrick, Bagsy, Nigel, Alan, Pavman etc.

A truly cracking day out and a great meet up.

Particular thanks to Martin and Alex for sorting it all out and to Dan for showing me that (by reference to the photos I have seen of him thus far posted on here), it is not the camera that adds the 10 lbs, it's the custartd doughnuts  Wokka wokka indeed.

A very lovely day completed by Bazzer falling asleep on the way home (ah the peace and quiet).

 Superday....good company, weather held and there were a few birds brought down!!!! Thanks to Martin for organising us and thanks to Mungler for mungler cabs.

Funniest moment of the day was mungler trying to shoot off a shooting stool and falling flat on his ****!!!

Best shot was that seriously high duck that Al brought down!!!

Guys,

I would like to thank you all for the bottle of Jamesons that you got me. It will be put to good use.

It is not the organising that makes a day it is the company and today was superb. Even if Bagsy nearly got my disco stuck. He seems to have a heavy right foot.

Cheers

Great day out, just had my orders to hit the sack as I'm making the place look untidy when I keep falling asleep - I'm knackered!

Cheers all for a great day out, great to meet Balders, Pavman and Ferretboy  Good to see two very well trained dogs doing the picking up too, both worked their butts off all day

Mung falling off his seat - twice - had me in stitches, all I see is his face as he looked over all smugly before going over backwards, pure class

A good shoot with some top drives, especially MC's Disco :hmm:

Must do it again

Thanks for your efforts as skippper, MC, and to Alex for putting on an enjoyable day. It was good to meet you all at last.

Alex showed some good birds, particularly on the marsh and the duck drive. I doubt I'll forget that high mallard.

Count me in if there's a re-run next season.

Total bag for the day was,

36 pheasants, 1 Partridge (Cracking shot from Flashman) 1 Pigeon, and 2 mallard. One of the mallard I think just gave up after having about 10 shots at it and the other was the shot of the day from Baldrick, it had to be 50 yards up and it folded up nicely.

I can't remeber the ammount of shots but it was about 160ish. Not a startling ratio but there were some cracking birds that v flew extremely well. Coupled with a strong tail wind made for some interesting shooting.

I will definetly be up for it next year and I will be speaking to Alex very soon.

Cheers

 cmon Pavman...wheres the piccys!!!!

I have to send them to chard for errr editing,

not back at work till tues as I am picking up again mon on my shoot, and the software to allow posting is on works PC, add that to the fact Mung being Mung started this ouitside sporting pics makes it double trouble

Mrs P said it was nice to meet you all (because I asked her to) and she felt you all did rather well controlling the various afflictions such as turrets syndrome, she did also mention how very sporting of you all to allow so many Fezants to get past, as normally when we put up good birds in Suffolk we would shoot the majority over the peg, perhaps we have it wrong
