Im a Nottingham girl! :good:

Calverton isnt too bad mate - could be worse like Sneinton or Clifton or Hyson Green!!!! *shudders*

The edge of Clifton isnt to bad. I lived there for a few years at my 1st house.

I'm in Nottingham by the way, just sending off for my SGC :D

Trust is a privelidge that is earned! - you have got to expect to build up even a little trust with people before they will allow you out with them. Anyone who has worked long and hard to get a permisson, knows the value of this ; think of it this way ; you have just joined the forum, you immediatley ask someone you dont know to go out with them, in an email, and you only say for example 'Hi do you have land to pigeon shoot on ?if so could I join you?', without even bothering to use your name, or fleshing any further information out... you have got to expect a no, or if the member is reasonable - you might get some polite advice about going about these things, in which case - dont throw it back in someones face by making derogatory remarks - this will certainly win you no friends.

and by building trust, i dont mean a ten year build up, just a couple of simple easy points allowing the person to build up a better picture of who you are, what you are about and showing at least that you can be bothered to spend more than 15 seconds composing an email, asking someone to take you on a permisson that took them months of relentness door knocking, and trust building to achieve.

there are a couple of members off here that would testify to this simple approach working i am sure!

If you are going to whine about any point i have made here, i will gladly cut and paste the entire, unedited thread's of PM's between us ; and let anyone interested judge for themselves.

there is an entire section on here, which is dedicated to getting permission, and i know as well as most how hard that can be, my advice would be this ; take advice, build trust and keep trying.

Happy shooting :good:
