Dunkield
It was on the 6 O'clock news, sports we did well at like Cycling, Sailing and Rowing will be getting the lions share of the funding, shooting and ping pong are at the bottom of the list. GJUK
think its about time we got rid of labour.... It's been that to,e for ~10 years. I'm kind of hoping this benefit shake up (if it happens at all) might stop the plebs in our country voting for them. Jon
blackbird
To be honest why waste any money at all on the olimpics the country is near bankrupt, half the population are heading for the dole when we do get out of this shi* we are all going to be taxed to high heaven, leave some other country have it & pay for it Edited December 4, 2008 by blackbird
David BASC
I thought our bid was being spearheaded by the CPSA, NSRA, NRA teams? Pehapse an update from them on what they will be doing would help us to understand the full extent of this? Nothing on the CPSA web site at the moment that I can see. There is funding for shooting for the paraolympics as i see it. David

Billy.
W'hey, another kick in the teeth for shooting. Nice one Labour for ruining it. If our pistol team can't even practice in this country, why would it mean they can shoot during the Olympics? I personally think the Olympics are the biggest waste of time an money. The council tax payers will just have to stump up for the cost, which will end up being massively over the estimate. (Why can't the government just get the building contractors to draw up an estimate and then write it into contract, meaning they can't exceed it by a certain %)
Wookie
The costys are already three times over predicted already and that 50 million could have been mostly saved just by moving things to Bisley and spending a couple of million sprucing the place up. pair away
Wookie There was a petition earlier this year with thousand on it to get it at bisley but the labour t***s did not want to know , now their 50 million short perhaps they will think its a good idea .
