RossEM
Anyone else see the mother of all pigeon flights this morning on the bucks/herts border?! Must have streched for a couple of miles, I've never seen anything like it. A full-on plague!
Catamong
A common sight in my neck of the woods at this time of year when they're all flocked up. The trick is to be at their chosen field about a half hour before dawn, with plenty of shells in the bag. Cat.

garyb
As Cat say's There are plenty of blues around here at the moment... Infact I see a good 500 daily Unless you have a lot of guns/friends, and permission to cover the area - Your more likely to get cold this time of year. Bleeh
I cleared what of must been at least 4000 pidgeons of a pair of new laid fields last monday, I have honestly never seen so many (about 8:00), but unforunatly it's the middle of the Game season so I couldn't go blatting them off quiet yet D:
Highlander
Rape's getting a hammering round here. We're still shooting plenty of young birds that have probably only fledged this last few weeks and it wouldn't surprise me if we keep seeing them right through the winter. We were certainly shooting young birds (less than 4 mionths old) in February/March this year indicating a year round breeding season. As each winter passes there are more and more birds about and long may that continue...sorry Mr Farmer.

Spaniel
I just got home from a lovely trip to Aylesbury today, went up the Swindon to Oxford road and there were loads of pigeons flying around and feeding in the fields all up that way..... Cheers
