garyb
Just put something like... .223 bolt action rifle + Sound Moderator .22lr bolt action rifle + Sound Moderator
Billy.
.223 bolt action rifle + Sound Moderator Always a chance to mention your perfectly zeroed .223 Yeah, that's exactly what I put. Don't forget your expanding ammunition too (if you're getting land). This should be squeezed into the ammo section, just in the calibre box. garyb
He dosen't mention if it's purely target shooting or not? If thats the case I doubt they would grant expanding for a target rifle... I didn't put expanding when I applied for mine, but as I included fox and vermin it was granted anyway
Billy.
He dosen't mention if it's purely target shooting or not? Sound mod for target shooting? I'm sure most FEO's would not be keen on allowing those just for targets. Edit: (Secondly he didn't say about land, that was another topic!) Newsportshooter
Just put something like... .223 bolt action rifle + Sound Moderator .22lr bolt action rifle + Sound Moderator Totally agree - it makes sense to stipulate that you may wish to own a different mod for each calibre you want.... In line with the above I asked for .22 lr and moderator & .17HMR and moderator. Re the other good point - I forgot to ask for explnding ammo but my FEO was on the ball and stated I would obviously need it (as I had stipulated 'shooting vermin etc over land' as the reason for callibres. Breastman
Sound mod for target shooting? I'm sure most FEO's would not be keen on allowing those just for targets. Edit: (Secondly he didn't say about land, that was another topic!) You're just as likely to get a mod for target shooting as you are vermin shooting you just ask for it using a different reason. Vermin shooting - to minimise distrubance to others, target shooting - to minimise harm to your hearing, simple as! When i applied for my FAC i didn't actually give a reason for why i wanted them i just put in the box .22 rifle plus detachable sound moderator, .223 rifle with detachable sound mod etc etc. all 5 of mine were for target shooting only (at the time) and got them no problem. Hope you get what you're after Deeplemming! Mark

Breastman
when i first got my fac for just target shooting i was denied both my mods , now i have land its a different story Was that a while ago? Did you give prevention of hearing loss as your 'good reason'? I only got my FAC 3 years ago and when i later got to know the FLO he told me that it had become pointless to deny people mods as Health and Safety would be breathing down their necks everytime they refused them. Or maybe noone in your forces area have invoked the dreaded H&S men against the Police yet?! Mark
