Some good scores there! Nicely done chaps.

Just 4 rounds of gay today at Dartford with Digweed. 23, 25, 24 and a poxy 21. Lost the plot on stand 6 where nothing felt right. Still, another straight and 93/100. Another 4 birds and I'll give the registered another go. :)

Digweed shot decidedly averagely then pulled a straight out of his *** for the last round. Think we're both starting to learn what the mental requirement is for this stupid discipline.

Pete,

So you're getting full on into the homo disciplines?

Skeet gun on the horizon and a newly developed dislike of anything non trap?

 Just until I get the AA classification sorted, then never shoot it again. Will do DTL next probably, and All Round.

Don't worry though, doing very hetrosexual Southdown tomorrow (yes, I have checked that it's open) for lots of manly sporting and sportrap. *flexes biceps*

Haven't you recently shot an 89 at a registered skeet Pete? If so then by my calculations, if you only want to shoot it once more then you will need to shoot at least a 99 to get into AA  Unless you secretly enjoy it ( and I suspect you do  ) and therefore shoot a few more around the 96-98 range.

Nowt wrong with skeet, I suspect that most of the people who criticise it are the ones who are a bit pants at it :)

Well shows how much you know. I know plenty who are very good at skeet and DTL but who don't shoot it because it's dull.

You cannot dispute that shooting the same targets time after time after time (no variation and knowing exactly what is coming from where and when), might be construed as a tad boring or repetitive.

Fair do's each to their own.

The 89 will get disregarded under the 'raw' average rule, if I am understanding the rule properly. A couple of 97s should do it, he said casually!:yes:

Shock and awe, must be an MBE on the way. Watch out Mr Digweed

Chard MBE, CBE, DFC, VC, OBE and bar

92/100 at Worsley today in my first leg of the club handicrap knockout competition. Shot against one of the best shots in the club, whose handicap is 1, mine is 7.

Chuffed because I didn't need the handicap to win (I think handicaps are stupid  )

He got 81 :) . So with the handicap nonsense added, it was 82 against 99 :D

Woop woop :D

Got Nicky T in the next round

Good do keep it up :P

Must be all the lessons ive given you mate :P were they all floppers :D

Admit skeet is pretty easy and repetitive but its a challenge to hit 100 straight that keeps me interested. Don't think doing so is that easy !!!!

Shot at my local today on what the manager called a "testing" layout. Shot like a ***** and got a 54x100. I even managed to blank an stand, which hurt lots.

What made it worse was the guy that I was going round with shot a 99x100, dropping a single rabbit on the last pair of stand 3. He was really nice though and gave me a lot of good tips, principally not to move as much as I was doing on decelerating birds and to try to adapt more to the different types. One si4ze (so to speak) does not fit all. He confirmed that my gun fit is now good, so the problem is with me. Nice to know.

To be honest, even though I shot lower than normal, I was hitting more of the targets I usually miss (loopers, battues, chondels), so I was not too upset. Piero also said that if I wanted some teaching/coaching, he'd be happy to help out. Like I said, a really nice man.

I'm supposed to be up in Jock-land that weekend but if I will see if I can rearrange things and make it to the Sportrap. If I can I might even go to Coniston afterwards too :)
