kingo
I visited a few local dealers today looking for a used shotgun, 3 of the dealers had none at all and 1 had 2 in, what suprised me was 3 of them practically used the same words and said there are none around at the moment and they are struggling to find any decent ones to sell and when they do get one in they fly out the door, that has suprised me, earlier last year all of these dealers had quite a few in each. Anyone else found this
tweedledee
it`s possibly down to the price rise in new guns.some folk might be holding on to the cash and making do with the gun they have.other buyers will buy the good secondhands as well. Imperfection
My local gunshop is always fairly well stocked with secondhand shotguns and it might remain that way if people dont buy em'!
RC45
I was told people are buying without trading in , maybe they will sell when the price increase comes in.

Flashman
No used guns at all, or none in your price range? Most of the gunsmiths in my locality can't afford to carry large stocks on anything, or they're acting as a shop window for private sellers, however, take a trip to St James's Street/Mount Street and you'll be swamped with used pieces - at a price... webber
Credit crunch = fewer new guns being sold = less used guns in part exchange = fewer used guns for sale. Credit crunch = shooters looking for a bargain and to spend less money = greater demand for used gunss. A clasisc case of more chasing less. webber
kingo
I agree with that webber, seen a miroku mk70 this morning but the stock was tad damaged and the blueing at the end of the barrel was non exsistent and they still wanted £650 for it... Rockers
I would recommend gun trader as many of the guns shops I visit only seem interested in ripping you off. get quoted one price on the phone and another in the shop.
