MerseaDavid
I always thought that when the bolt is back you just pull the trigger back and the bolt comes out but it does not work with my one. I have looked over the gun but cant see any buttons to press so I am not sure.

I dont need to remove the bolt because my cabinate is secure and alarmed which is perfectly legal. I asked the firearms officer if this was legal and he said it was and if you think you have to remove the bolt then the cabinate if obviously not secure enough and I suggest you upgrade your security and possibly fit a good alarm. If someone manages to get in the cabinet, they'll not struggle to get the bolts if they're in the ammo cabinet. FEO never said for me to do it. macca
Hi, its been a while since I played with one of the BSA actions so if its based on a CF2, I think you could try the following. 1. Make sure the gun is empty 2. Cock the gun 3. Decock by pulling the trigger (on an empty chamber) 4. All at the same time with left hand pull the trigger (index finger) push forward on safety (thumb) right hand lift and pull the bolt (swift smooth action) If that doesnt work try pushing trigger forward(flat blade screwdriver) in combination with the other two. I remember that there is a combination of the trigger and safety to drop the trigger sear out of the raceway to remove the bolt. Hopefully this will help Cheers
palombier
MD I have a BSA hornet. I couldn't honestly tell you how I remove the bolt and it took me a while to suss out when I first got it. It's a combination of sliding the bolt back depressing the uncocked trigger then sliding it forward and then removing it. I'll have a go when I'm home and try and let you know the process. garyb
why? It's not an offence. Rifles should be kept in a gun cabinet or within a gun room with adequate door and window security. Rifle bolts and magazines should be stored separately in a similar container
steve_b_wales
Storing the bolt/s away from the rifles is an added safety precaution. It is NOT a legal requirement, probably anothor clause that your police force added.
palombier
MD I've just spent a frustrating 20 minutes on this. Sometimes the bolt came out but when i tried to repeat the process it didn't always work. However I think I've sussed it the secret is to pull and hold the trigger very firmly. So cock and pull the trigger depress trigger v firmly and remove bolt. If you only depress the trigger slightly it doesn't work . Hope this helps. I've certainly learnt something P
