eagle eyes
Just wondered if anyone has ordered any carts from Just Cartridges. I'm thinking of ordering a couple of thousand and would like to know what there service is like. Steve

HW682
I have used them once with no problems. Before I use a new online supplier I normally ask a few questions by email to get a feel for what customer service might be like. As they replied promptly, I placed an order and got next delivery as promised. They gave 1000 off pricing even for a mixed 1000 ( ie not all the same cartridge). One slight niggle was that the delivery didn't arrive till 4.55 pm and the outer packaging was a bit damp (very rainy day) but to be fair that is probably the carriers fault rather than the supplier. I usually use my local gunshop because they are slightly cheaper and mail order isn't convenient when out at work etc - but if the need arose I would happily use them again. kev 1
Do you mean they gave you an extra 1000 carts for nothing?
HW682
No. If you purchased say 500 of cartridge A and 500 cartridge B the price is calculated as half the 1000 price of A plus half the 1000 price of B. The confusion probably arose when I said "1000 off pricing". This term is common in industry and means the same as "1000x" or "1000 No." etc
kev 1
OK thanks, but they seem to do a good deal, until they slap on their delivery charge and then you are no better off??
HW682
Yes you're right, they're not really cheaper than a decent shop. I used them when I had been working late a lot (and my local shop isn't actually that local) and my wife happened to be working from home one day. So it worked out convenient to order some carts online and get them delivered to home. Like I said, I wouldn't use them routinely - but if ever the need arose for whatever reason then I would happily use them again.
utectok
carrige is a bit of a ****** but great selection of carts and friendly service. I'd admit to using them all the time if it wasn't for the fact I would get grief from PW members saying the got better deals!
kev 1
You find some places cheap, but by the time you travelled there and add your petrol to their price you probably are paying more than getting them local...
Toombsy
I have used their services a couple of times, but only when I couldn't make it to a gunshop because of work. They delivered swifty and on time, but ordering your carts on-line isn't quite like having a nosey around your local gunsmiths and catching up with the local banter/new notices for clay shoots etc.

realtreedave
my local gunshop is 10mins on foot or 5 mins by car from my front door.so personaly i would never use an online or mail order suplier
p@cman
I've not used their online/mail service, but have been up there a couple of times over the past year and have found the service friendly and helpful. Good selection and plenty of stock too.
agusta
I've used them a few times, they never seem to have any stock when I order, they also had a same day dispatch next day delivery which was a load of c**p, took at least two days to dispatch that's if the cartridges were in stock. One of my orders the cartridges turned up they were 30g plastic instead of 32g fiber. Contacted them and they said the stock had changed and they didn't update the catalog, checked 2 weeks later still hadn't updated. I now have 500 carts which I cant use. No options given, wouldn't let me send back no refund or even partial. The couriers they use are idiots, cartridges left on door step, couldn't be ***** to knock on the door! Fatcatsplat
Have found them to be very expensive whenever i have looked at the price lists - As has been said earlier, better bargains at your local gun shop.
Guest topshot_2k
they are expensive even before you add on postage. Local shop is better choice or john forsey also do mail order (good service)
tazkb
i agree with the price thing, saying that they only do cartridges you would think they could offer really good deals but my local shops are cheaper ? if i was going to specialise like they have i would make sure i could do it for the right money first ? and then they add on a delivery charge which completley kills the job for me i think most people will get a better deal locally
eagle eyes
Thanks for the replies, I think i will try and get some better prices locally. Fatcatsplat
At the moment, if you weant cheap you have to change brands, depending on what is cheapest at the time of sale - Downside being that some cartridges are absolute cack, as i've just found out - Oh well, only another 500 or so to go!! tazkb
to be honest the only realy bad cartridges i have shot are the D&J ones true there are some others that aren't exactly brilliant but the D&J ones really where terrible, what's more some guns will shoot any without problems but some guns are fussy my M2 doesn't like Hull comp x but my O/U is fine with them and they are quite good through it I have been trying out as many cartridges as possible for clay shooting with some interesting results my fav so far have been blue diamonds although they are one of the most expensive i have tried so far
