It surprises most people to learn that the hunters are the ones who really care for the welfare and habitat of these amazing animals. What do you think? We, people, removed all the natural predators to the deer many years ago, and we have to deal with the concequences. If we cannot bring ourselves to manage the deer population, then their numbers will grow till, as the vieo said "disease is rife". The league against cruel sports is trying to meddle with nature itself, and consequently, is loosing. Indeed, we have developed a wonderful civilsation, even tolerating groups designed for people,, who if they did live during these times- would have died out anyway. With all the evidence and research why won't they just accept that deer need to be managed. No one is as blind as the man who doesn't want see.
