Paul223
you have to register to get the goodies, and then you can only log on so many times ( 10 i think??) before it locks you out asking to join via subscription, so have a good look and may be print off what you need http://ammoguide.com/

Lloyd90
Mate on the hawke website they have a app that you can download and you type in the bullet weight calibre and grain and it gives you a trajectory chart, also if you have a hawke scope it will tell you what distance each mildot is zero'd for. Pretty sweet

mikehaas
you have to register to get the goodies, and then you can only log on so many times ( 10 i think??) before it locks you out asking to join via subscription, so have a good look and may be print off what you need http://ammoguide.com/ Hello, I'm the author/owner of AmmoGuide.com and registered here to correct this post. Thank you Paul223 for the link but AMMOGUIDE DOES NOT LOCK ANYONE OUT AFTER 10 LOGINS. AmmoGuide has 3 levels - DEMO, FREE MEMBER and PAID SUBSCRIBER. NO login is required for DEMO (but you see the least info). You can register FREE (just like here) and see more information. If you subscribe for a small annual fee, you see everything. This page explains the specific differences. After 10 logins, if you have not purchased a subscription, when you login it displays a reminder acreen asking you to subscribe, that's all. That reminder has both a "Subscribe" button and a "Continue" link - the "Continue" link completes your login, taking you whereever you were originally logging into - NOT LOCKED OUT. As far as comparison charts/features, NO WEBSITE COMPARES TO AMMOGUIDE and NO WEBSITE COMPARES LIKE AMMOGUIDE... At http://ammoguide.com/, you can line 'em up with either a metric or SAE ruler in the background (or even no ruler at all). There's a link to compare the displayed rounds ballistically with a single click. You can save "visual sets" either privately or to share with other AmmoGuide subscribers. Clicking on the cartridge label brings up detailed info for the riound, including case diagram... With a single click, you can compare the ballistics for the displayed rounds: http://ammoguide.com/?tool=bcompare&it...615%7c138%7c492 More example graphics (actual onscreen size)... (Click on this image to go to the AmmoGuide .223 detailed info page) Thanks for the opportunity to clear up Paul223's misunderstanding and explain a little bit about AmmoGuide! Paul223
Hello Mr Hass and welcome, yours truly is a great site, I currently have two 'free member' accounts on ammo guide, if i log onto the first this is the message I get >>>> Because it's a website, and not a book or disk-based program, you can use AmmoGuide any place you can surf the web. --- UNSOLICITED, UNEMBELLISHED COMMENT --- "...I want to thank [Mike Haas] for providing something that we have not had ever... we are all a bunch of people looking to communicate our love for the shooting sport as well as our personal convictions and Mike has facilitated that..." -- M.M. of Missoula MT, 9/14/2007 Paul, it's a mystery to us! We know AmmoGuide is a great website. That's why discriminating shooters like yourself keep coming back. (You've logged in 40 times.) But we can't figure out why a shooter/surfer as active as yourself hasn't subscribed yet? It's only $18.95/year for all of the great information and tools AmmoGuide offers - including automatic updates and enhancements! (Click Here to Subscribe Now) Continue >> (onto original page)<<<<< and clicking the continue button directs me to the same page but 'logged in 41 times', and so on  , this started to happen around the tenth logging, so please forgive me if I am wrong. >>>>>Paul, why miss out any longer? We are pleased that you like AmmoGuide! But after 41 logins, aren't you ready to see it all? Get load data, even better tools, personal messaging, print-friendly mode, forum privileges and more. If you like AmmoGuide as a free member, you will LOVE it as a subscriber! At only $18.95/year, how can you go wrong? (Click Here to Subscribe Now) Continue >> (onto original page)<<<<< >>>>>Paul, you're not subscribed yet? After logging in 42 times, we know you will enjoy an AmmoGuide subscription. Get load data, even better tools, personal messaging, print-friendly mode, forum privileges and more. At just $18.95/year, AmmoGuide represents an INCREDIBLE value! That's less than a single box of factory ammo - how can you go wrong? (Click Here to Subscribe Now) Continue >> (onto original page)<<<<< I can of course delete my cookies and use the second account, but I fear that will go by the same means soon as I must be up to 6 or 7 logins

mikehaas
Hello Mr Hass and welcome, yours truly is a great site, I currently have two 'free member' accounts on ammo guide, if i log onto the first this is the message I get[snip] (Click Here to Subscribe Now) Continue >> (onto original page)<<<<< [snip] I can of course delete my cookies and use the second account, but I fear that will go by the same means soon as I must be up to 6 or 7 logins Thanks for the kudos and another opportunity to clear this up. My earlier post must not have explained the issue clearly. I repeat: FREE MEMBERS ARE *NOT* LOCKED OUT AFTER 10 LOGINS. They just have to click THROUGH a reminder screen (a sales pitch, ok? :-) to finish logging in. Here is an example reminder screen that we are talking about. Every one is made up of some randomly-selected text but they ALL have 2 buttons: a "SUBSCRIBE NOW" button and a "CONTINUE" button... In all cases, please notice you aren't locked out. The 'Continue' button completes your 11th login just like the 10th and you enter the website. For the first 10 logins (for FREE members), you go right in, just as any paid subscriber - you don't see the above reminder. But starting with your 11th login, BEFORE you enter the site, you will first encounter a screen like the above asking you to subscribe. It will always display those 2 buttons: SUBSCRIBE NOW and CONTINUE. Simply ignore the request by clicking on the "CONTINUE" button. Then your 11th login (and all subsequent logins) will complete and you will enter the site as usual. We have FREE members that have loggen in hundreds of times on the same account. wymberley
There is a programme that I use and it's superb. Although it's designed for centre fire, I have found a way of using it for rimfire as well. Two problems though: It's one of those CD programmes which after you'v downloaded it it still requires the CD to be installed to run it. In other words it costs. Second problem is that I can't tell you how much. I was given mine. Its called the Sierra Infinity Suite - Exterior Ballistics Software. My copy has "Five" between Infinity and Suite but I think this is the number of the edition. Sierra (which I'm sure you'll recognise) has a web-site; www.sierrabullets.com
