GREENGRASS
Got out and about for an hour this morning. Managed to get a couple of shots off. Light was not the best and a little out of my range apologies. Regards GG

GREENGRASS
Pictures should get sharper when I get the new lens. Famous last words. According to the wife I have got to part with a certain Beretta. Before I can even contemplate any new toys Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens. dunganick
nice lens the 100-400 l is /but try the 2.8 version much better in low light only an extra 3k Last time i checked they didnt do a 100-400 f2.8 Canon only do 70-200 f2.8 or prime lenses, 300, 400, 500, 600 f2.8 (and you would need a few berettas for most of these) If you want a reasonable price f2.8 try the sigma 120-300 f2.8, it comes in at a nice and cheap £1700 and when added to a 1.4tc will give you a 420 f5.6 (through whole range) The 100-400 is a nice lense, but has a reputation for poor low light performance. However there are no other lenses with such a large range. Do like the photo with the wingspan showing, look forward to pics with new lense. dunganick
Just looking at the Data from your photo, i would drop the shutter speed a bit, work on your panning, and up the ISO a Bit, Assuming your using a Canon 350-400-450 etc... the sensor can produce decent noise free images up to about iso 800 Also maybe mess around with your metering (spot metering tends to work well with things with a bright background) I had a quick play with your image to try and sharpen it up a bit. It is totally over sharpened, so its not amazing.
