Jonnyni
Was out yesterday and me and a mate shot 32 crows 8 hoodies 12 jackdaws 9 pigeons. The magnet was putting off the crows at the start so we turned it off as there where more of them than pigeons and the farmer had asked for us to shoot the **** outta the crows anyway. **** those hoodies are hard to bring down with 71/2s We where shooting a freshly drilled field for 4hours. Out of interest, did you pull them in over a tradition pigeon deek pattern, or do as I have done on occasions and infact put a couple of black 'uns' on the magnet?? Paul in North Lincs. Jonnyni
We started off with just the pigeon magnet and two pigeons, the corvids where already on the field along with the pigeons. Once we set up they started to come back although the pigeons didn't return after we shot the first few.

ollie
NO EXCUSE.....7 1/2`s are for clays and snipe! :< 7 1/2's are good enough for decoying pigeons, but probably not suitable for hooded crows. Also 7 1/2's are good enough for magpies, jackdaws, rooks, woodcock and rabbits.
Staffs-Shooter
5s for crows in my book, 6s for pigeons.
ollie
5s for crows in my book, 6s for pigeons. I would only use 6's for roost shooting pigeons because you are sometimes firing through branches.
