SNAKEBITE
They have very little meat on them. You can only really nick the breast out of them. The best way to eat them is in a game pie with say.. rabbit and pigeon. The meat is very dark. Try it. If you don't like it don't eat it again! SNAKEBITE
There was a victorian custom, mainly carried out in the west country and wales where on a certain day in May people would go and tip all the young crows out of the nests and take them away and eat them. I got that information in the "cook on the wildside" book by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. That has got some crow dishes in.

Spaniel
I guess during the war, there was not much food about so you would try anything...not sure if i would like to eat crow, but there again i eat pigeon. I suppose the meat would be very dark...anyone tried it ?
covlocks
Saw a TV program where Hugh Fernley Long Name climbed a tree and grabbed himself a couple of crows for dinner. Didnt fancy the result myself. How about Maggie stew? or Rat Pie? No - I think I have drawn my line under Tree Rats.....
