I recived a permision letter back today from a farm in the area. It was a nice reply, stating that as he was a tenant he could not grant me permision on the land. He gave me the number of the head keeper, as this land is part of a large estate, and said to mention his name. I was pleased that he took the time to give the info, but im unsure if i should call :hmm:

I know ill never find out if i dont ring him, but feel a bit sheepish ringing a head keeper.

Any ideas? <_<

Definitely.

Keep it simple, friendly and explain to him that you were given the number by "Farmer X" after making enquiries about shooting on his land.

The worst thing he can say is no (at the time), and at least you are then in his mind if anything comes up or if he ever needs a dig out.......

ATB,

Jonno.

i did consider this, but have you seen my face Mark? <_<

most keepers will have seen some very nasty things in there lives m, so dont let that put you of.

but it is to easy for him to say no over the dog and bone, face to face you can put your bit over

even if he has thrown a no in.

if he does say no, ask him if you can call again.

Just alittle hint. I give permission to very few, but I have never given permission to someone who is too lazy to get off their **** and come see me face to face!

NTTF

all i have to do now, is find out where he lives :hmm:

the bloke who gave you his number might know. :o

call and see the farmer, tell him you was in the area and you have called to thank him for the reply.
