barbel-brad
Well this is how it goes got up about 6.00am windy overcast mild perfect made my flask loaded the car and drove the 10 mins to the fields. Now on the way i did not see a pigeon and the thought did cross my mind thats strange got to the field and stood by the car watching the sky for half hour no birds nothing on the normal flight line nothing in the woods nothing on the fields but a lot of crows. Thought oh well they will be about picked a location that has been good to me in the past and is under a flight line set up two groups of decoys my magnet and four floaters what pigeon could resist LOL. As it happens all of them well i only saw 4 all morning only fired 3 carts and had one crow for my trouble never mind thats shooting i would like to know where they all went for the day though. Did you guys have a better weekend? Regards Andrew Bradley

RhiannonBW
Was out with p-a-s on Saturday and we saw very few birds all day. Driving home I watched the skies, and only saw a handful of birds on an hour long journey. Must have been something in the air? Beardo
Went out Saturday morning - half a dozen crows and a jay but no pigeons - only saw 2 all morning and they were high and fast with no interest in the pattern. Probably not helped by the 4 buzzards buzzing about
bushwakka
I set up on a field that had been drilled 4 days ago with maize. Wind was perfect, the flocked deeks looked the business on the eezy wobblers . Set up under a flight line using the highway pattern. I only saw a fleeting glances of pigeons all day. The crows on the other hand were well intereseted in the few crow deeks I had to left of my pattern, I eneded up shooting 12 crows and 2 jackdaws

Wiggum
I thought we had a slow day until i read some of your replies.Me and a mate were out at 6 on a field drilled with bean's which is a new permission we have just picked up. During the morning we really had to work to get the few pigeons we saw to come within range of our guns .Then it went really dead between 12 and 2 with neither of us firing a shot !.It did pick up after thought and we managed 15 birds between us although it should really have been double but some awful shooting by myself settled that !!!. We were really hoping for a red letter day as we had walked off around 200 birds when doing a recce of the field a couple of days before. Weve got another field being drilled with more beans in a week or two so hopefully will get some decent shooting when they go in Wiggum
TrapWorks
Same here, the pigeons (what there were) went to clover in tens not the hundreds that have been about. I went out for four hours of boredom and never fired a shot. Weird... T

Bunny-Blaster
To be totaly honest Sunday was exactly the same for me and my shooting Buddy! Turned up nice and early set up the hide in a perfect spot, layed out the deeks and the bouncers and then waited........Till 1 pm The result 1 Pigeon between the two of us !!!! 6+ Hours and 1 lousy pigeon lol....I know thats shooting for ya but days previously we have had a nice steady stream from the above flightline and seen literaly hundreds of the ******* flying and landing together.....and on this day we only saw about a dozen in total....all high flyers To cap it off the bunnys and hares all seemed VERY thin on the ground too for some strange reason...Anyone got any ideas??...Atmospheric pressure perhapse??...change in season?? Anyway ....I decided to use my last hour as target practice to try and iron out some of my "glitches" so as to try and improve my hits...also this was my first day out with my new Laurona 12g O/U so I wanted to play being the big kid that I am. To my horror I have developed a flinch as I pull the trigger!!!! God knows why but if I hadnt had a practice hour then I would have kept having misses as a result and not known why. At least now I can smash a couple of hundred sporting clays and try n put the "flinch" right ready for my next live quarry outing and hopefully I'll see an improvement. Anyway....always look for good in bad I say. Happy hunting Guys n Gals Jase
