There was a good S/S in my local for £128 but you just have to ask around. hope you find a good deal though Lewis

Worth a thought
bruno22rf
So you are going to wait even longer till you get something that is decent?-my god ,when i first started shooting i was so desperate that a i made a .410 shotgun out of metal tubing a bent nail and a spring-i also made a .410 pistol when i started work as a precision engineer.Surely you would be glad to have anything thats safe and goes bang at the appropriate time? or am i just missing something?.I have owned loads of guns in my time and from all of the top makers but the one i have kept the longest and shot the most pigeons with is a 16g hammer Baikel-not pretty, not decent but by god it kills more than its fair share. njc110381
You should be able to get a shotty for £50. It may only be a single barrel 12g but it will be better than nothing. A guy I shoot with has an old single 12g and he hits as much as I do with my Beretta O/U

malkiserow
More important to get out there and "go shooting" the knowledge you learn will be very valuable. Shiney guns are like new cars.... then get stratched in use so - don't go crying...... get an old one first!

wy111
Don't let it get you down. Ok, things are not the same nowadays. I got my first Sg over 40 years ago.......on tic and mail order. I know that is not possible now, but there are cheap guns out there. Just be patient. Most guns will last more than a lifetime, so an old Baikal, Aya, Bsa to mention a few, will put you on. Then try to save up to buy a "better" gun. Trouble is, I got an old AYA cheepo and it was a cracker, just fell lucky. Still got it, but keep it as a memory. I eventually got a rizzini(Not the expensive family), fitted and still the only shotgun I use it after 20 years. PS........ used to remember waking up to something next to that
