Lloyd90
What reasons did they give for not letting you join up? As it progresses you can lose the sight in your eye. Both my cuz and aunt have had corneal transplants Mines not bad at all though, only thing so far is it makes me shortsighted in my left eye. They have new treatments now that can stops its development though The reason I figure they won't take me is they spend alot of money training you and abv dont want someone whos going to go blind in a few years time
LXX73
If your vision isn't going to affect the job you would be doing at present i'd challenge the decision if I was you. Show willing you never know. When I applied for the infantry I was diagnosed with flat feet and told I could'nt join. I forced the issue and was signed off but advised never to go on the sick with shin splints etc or I'd get binned( so I never did)
JR1960
Made redundant in march 2007 and got a new job in February this year after about 1500 job applications, so chin up guys, and keep at it!Had to move to Kent from my beloved Norfolk but hey you gotta go where the work is. (Split up with the missus, got a new bird, fighting for the kids in court and then we've got the finances to sort out. Oh and her mum died 3 weeks ago, my shooting partner died last year and the land i shot over in Norfolk has just been sold. So, been an eventful 2 years. Hopefully i can find some shooting down here in Kent and me and the boy can get back to some sort of normality.) jigsaw
Im in the construction industry, havent worked in 3 months.NOTHING happening at all over here. Most of my work mates are in the same boat.I started off hunting, shooting and general countryside excursions but its not the same when you can go any time you want.I gave up looking after a few weeks as theres no work whatsoever being generated here.My neighbourhood was awash with polish a few months back, now their nowhere to be seen, all gone back to the motherland.
