Hammergun
I've been offered an old German hammer 12 bore for only £50. It's in not bad nick, but I only have bought English guns so far. What do you reckon? Should I get it?
Cranfield
For £50, its worth it for the curousity value alone. I only know a few German manufacturers; Merkel; JP Sauer; Kettner; Heckler & Koch. Perhaps hubertus can help you research it.
Hammergun
Hubertus - if you read this, it has "Geco" and "Elektrostahl" on it. There are a number of distinguishing proof marks, but I don't have descriptions of all the foreign ones.
ernyha
:what: Hammergun,I am stunned at you asking us peasants a question like that. We all look to you to answer our questions and valuations of old guns. You have gone down in my hero list now mate. :S
Hammergun
As I said, I only know about ENGLISH guns!!!!! (The gun is in proof and with good wall thickness and sound barrels and action - I know all that.) But regarding foreign guns, I haven't a clue!! ernyha
HG joking apart now, I would have thought that any old gun in proof would be worth £50 of anyones money. :(
Hammergun
Yeah, but it's the space in the gun cabinet too. Anyway, my next venture is going to be a pigeon rotor. I'm making it myself and I've started accumulating the parts.

Pigeon Pieman
Sad though it sounds, I'd like some gloves! :C Years ago I had a pair of Miller Mitts. They were all the rage. A woollen green fingerless mitten back with a sort of knitted soft rope palm. I loved them  Best fingerless gloves I've ever owned. Does anyone know if they are still available? I daren't ask my dad - who brought my last pair - as my mum would insist in knitting some  :(
NGhost
dont know about those gloves, but Hawkshead do some shooting ones with a mit cover for when its realy cold which i just put over 3 fingers leving my trigger finger free. they also have leather palms.
