vole
My JR seems to prefer catfood.I doubt if there much difference between it and dogfood apart from she might be a bit more windy at present.Anyone see a problem? Thanks.
Cosd
Could be wrong, but I thought cat food was too rich for dogs. Find him/her some dog food he/she likes, the nutrients would be better suited and you'll have a dog that's healthier and happier.

Thanks. Lots of fat and protein in cat food. Not good for the dog to eat it regularly, can cause diarrhea and vomiting I think. Ozzy Fudd
i always heard there was more salt in cat food and it was bad for them? could be wrong
MJN
I had cat and dog, they would always eat each other food , I never noticed any side effects. apart from the cat chasing the postman, and the dog climbing trees :-)
Greenhunter
He likes it better because, as has been said, its got more salt in it so it tastes better. Trouble is cat food should only contain meat and dog food needs to be a mix of meat and veg etc so they get the correct vitamins and minerals. Having said that though, loads of cat food has veg in it so the owners think its better if only from the price point of view. In reality cats can't process veg bits so its a waste of money in the end. The extra salt can cause kidney problems later in life so I wouldn't continue with feeding cat food to him for long. vole
Admit I should read the ingredients but print too small. Heard enough here to get her back on dog food tho. The salt thing makes sense. Thanks fellers.
