utectok
Are these guns any use on live quarry or just toys? Anyone tried them with the eley 3" subsonic carts on pigeons etc? And lastly any cast on the stock? Looking for a gun for a southpaw and was hoping they had no cast. (Might keep the inlaws/ neibours at bay?) jay222
cant comment on the baikal but i have a pedretti hushpower that i am very impressed with and the 3" eley subs perform pretty well too
ryantidgwell
dont look to have no cast on them was looking at one the other day 410s are underestimated can drop a pigeon with one easy , shooting a 410 the other day and at 35 yards on a fag packet 14 bits of shot hit it so not bad i think
moses
I can recommend the mossberg hushpower .410 pump, cracking little shottie. 3 shots, full choke, nice tight pattern and with the 3" eley subs still knocks the squirrels and bunnies over no problems, to top it all off you get that pump action noise to boot

utectok
Cheers guys that doesn't sound to bad anyone notice that eley 3" subs need more lead?
Zapp
Cheers guys that doesn't sound to bad anyone notice that eley 3" subs need more lead? Yep, I have noticed that aswell. At least an extra 6-8 inches on a running rabbit at optimum .410 range. ZB
Chris Bb
Saw two chaps at the club the other week shooting these. Very quiet. Didn't hit a bird between them. Not necessarily the guns' fault, but.............
shotgun666
even quiet with standard shells
chrispti
They work fine, and do have a little cast The pump is a touch louder, but at least you have the 2nd and 3rd shots Wouldn't bother with subs, the 3'' standard shells are only a tad louder and the 2" are as, (if not) quieter. sitsinhedges
Why not get a fully moderated 20g instead, much more versatile with loads from 21g to 32g but still very quiet. Capable of taking all normal quarry and you can afford to have a looser choke too
mossy835
years ago i had a 410 and about 5 pigeons few over and i hit 3 of them with 1 shot.good little guns
stumacher
I've got the single shot, fantastic little gun. I've never used the subs only standard 3inch .410 carts. In an open field the other day i let my mate have a go with it. He took a shot and i had a go at him! i told him to stop jeffing around pulling the trigger with no cartridge in. he told me don't be silly and took another shot, it was so quiet all you could hear was the firing pin! But the quietness seems to depend on the area your in. Edited August 3, 2009 by stumacher
vole
I think all moderated shotguns have a place if like me you have noise issues. I do most of my shooting with a Pedretti 12g Hushpower to the extent that it has ruined my shooting with "normal " guns as I have to shoot about 20 in high at 30 yards. Really does whack stuff, flying or hopping.
