Greenhunter
I would be very grateful to hear the lowdown on them I have just reserved an o/u hushpower and I am keen to get it. However, I really need to know if the recoil is as low as it is said about them. Not from a shoulder point of view but how comfortable they would be for my hands? I have also been told that it would still be quiet using non-subsonic carts. Is this true? Thanks in advance. GH
Cranfield
I have used a 20 and 12 bore hushpower, I didn't think there was any difference in the recoil from an unsilenced gun. Of course, if you use lighter load cartridges the recoil reduces. IMO there is a noticeable difference in the noise, using subsonic ammunition. drut
Can't comment about 20g as I have yet to try one with heavy loads but my Pedretti 12g Hushpower has significantly less recoil & noise (less echoing boom) than my Baikal O/U when firing 36gm loads for fox. Zapp
Give Chrispti a shout. He has got one of those snazzy 20g o/u hushes, of which I am quite jealous. ZB
sitsinhedges
The recoil and noise is very mild using subsonic cartridges
vole
I find the recoil negligible with 12g Hushpower using 32g subsonics. They do make non subs quietER but best results with subs. Edited June 29, 2009 by vole21
Greenhunter
Many thanks for the replies gents. Very useful. If the recoil is similar to my 391 I'll be a happy man
