fullbore
Right serious cure time. Get a ginger root, and grate some into a cup, pour on boiling water as per tea making. sweeten drink with honey, and feel the difference. Ginger is magic stuff, brilliant for sea sickness and stomach settling in general you can drink the tea daily and pian will go, I know I have golfers elbow, (inner side, tennis outer side) and I HATE the game

Gully
I've been suffering from this for 6 months now. I put up with it for ages but it wouldn't get better so I started trying to treat it seriously. I started wearing a strap round my lower arm that stops me stretching the tendon - its great for gardening etc. I've also been taking Ibuprofen regularly as the danger with Tennis Elbow is that you get scar tissue build up which stops it healing. Anti inflamatories stop this. Then I saw this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthne...nnis-elbow.html I googles tennis elbow nicholas sports clinic (or something like that) and found a picture of the excersize which as I am a ***** I do with a piece of foam pipe lagging, not the £14.99 'Flex Bar'. I can't find the pic, let me know if you can't and I'll try to describe it. Its working quite well so far, I've been doing it for 2 days and have been surprised by how much the pain has reduced. chandelierman
I had golfers elbow which is similar,it was like the forearm muscle coming away from the bone,i went to the sports injury clinic ( i went there under false pretences because i actually got the injury playing Wii Sports ) i had a couple of sessions with the acupuncture @ £40 a pop ( it was rubbish ) in the end i bought a MASSIVE tube of fisiocream off ebay for about £10 ( the tiny tube from the clinic was £6 ) i got my lady friend to rub it in 3 times a day and stopped playing with the Wii,after about 4 months home treatment it healed up. Wearing some sort of elbow support with give you some help or if you are into "alternative healing" then you can wear an elbow support that has "magic metal" woven into it,a bit like wearing a copper band for arthritis i suppose. AdamC
Avoid cortisone injections if you can. I had some inflamation in a tendon around my elbow from over training in the gym. It was pretty bad and almost stopped me driving. I was desperate for it to go and really considered the injections, but after investigating it further I decided against it. They can cause a lot of problems further down the line. I went with some advice I read on the net - crazy I know, fixing ones self with advice from some nutter sat there typing in his bedroom! I took fish oil tablets 3 times a day with every meal. I drink a lot of water a day anyway, but upped this to about 7 litres of water a day. I cut red meat out of my diet and started exercising it gently again at the gym. Within a weak or so the difference was amazing. What did it? Who knows, but perhaps worth a go.
