kdubya
Further to the thread that was "pulled" I mentioned that hessian brick frost protection can be used to make an effective hide even if used in the center of a stubble field,or in amongst laid crop, well this is the stuff, yes you can buy it but most builders merchants will give you enough free gratis to make a hide, like I said a couple of nicks put in to give you a few viewing points and your away, cheers KW

steve_b_wales
I've got one hide that my mate made by sewing hessian sacks together. Works really well on stubble.
Lancs Lad
I would stick a picture up of the stubble stealth, but it would probably get pulled..... Jim Sarakun
What a Top Tip from that man. Just started shooting the stubble this last fortnight, and was contemplating venturing out to the War and Peace show for a desert net. Last year they were £60 for a good condition 30m x 30m. So hang the expense and the traveling, I'll just pop down to Travis Perkins, my local builders merchants and get some of this Hessian. So I asked the nice man if he had a piece big enough to cover a Landrover, I will sow the strips together to make it fit. "You will need a whole roll to do that sir", he advised. "No problem" I said as I dropped the tail gate, "sling it in the back here". "Its £84 a roll sir" he said smugly. I explained this here article on PW, to no avail, "£84 a roll sir", the man was adamant. "OK" says I, "how about I just call in now and again for the free off cuts?". "£84 a roll sir", was his curt reply. So where do you go Kdubya to get it free? Looks like a day out to War and Peace then...

Jim Sarakun
i'm planning on hitting War and Peace - managed to get the missus interested as we're off to my mums for the weekend and it's on the way. I love the show and set up a bit of a display with my 2 boys, so it is £25 for all of us for the week, bargain eh? Not this year though, Gordon saw to that, and those other criminals in the Banks and Parliament. When you display you can go a month prior to it opening to the public, so get the good stuff before they turn up, how cool is that? Nearly bought the net last year but my eldest has a way with me and money, and I can't say no to him, love 'em both to bits, suffice to say the net was put on hold. Have a good time, it is a good show. To see it all though, you really need a week there.
Cranfield
Jim, its worth looking around any Builders or Roofing Contractors for, "a bit thats left over". You only want a bit 15ft long. The £84 roll Travis Perkins tried to sell you would have supplied stubble hides for all of us.
soreshoulder
guys, i have found a huge piece of desert netting in one of our barns, i will be charging 2 quid per square meter. so, 3meters by 1.5 would be about 10 quid i think (does the rpice sound fair?) PM me
Cranfield
4.5 to 5 metres would be a better length.
