Aldous Huxley
Hello All. After several years of shooting air rifles and small and full-bor target shooting at school I have finally got round to applying for a fac. I am fortunate enough to have 60 acres to play on and have seen my FEO and he has agreed to a .22lr, 17hmr, .22 air rifle and a .410 along with a SGC. I now have to wait six weeks though. Anyway I will definitely be looking for some good deals and sound advice. Cheers,
JRS
good of him to agree to an air rifle , i didnt know you had to ask for them now
Aldous Huxley
It was a Fac air rifle I applied for. I already have a BTAS FX cyclone and a battered BSA s10, i just wanted to leave a slot open. I may later on change it for a .223 rifle to shoot the foxes with, I just felt going cf straight away may be seen as rash. Aldous Huxley
i would go for a .223 if you got foxes mate I would, but I feared the rejection. The land was cleared for .223 as well. Rather alot of artillery for 60 acres ist'nt it? Not really, 60 acres is quite a considerable amount. How many acres of land do you have/your parents? al4x
60 acres isn't much if its open farmland, were it to be mostly wooded then you might have a fair amount of wildlife but if simple farmland you could clear the rabbits off it in a couple of days

We run a shoot there which takes somewhere between a thousand and two thousand birds a year as well, so it certainly does not have too little wildlife:)

How many acres of land do you have/your parents? 1300 family owned + plus I shoot over another 10000. And no 60 acres ist'nt alot to a centerfire, believe me
