Gordon R
I am proud to be a Leeds United fan. We are going through bad times. That said - I watched Arsenal yesterday playing at Everton. After Arsene Wenger's critics had written his young team off, yet again, they produced some memorable football. It was a pleasure to watch these no-hopers. I hope they "get lucky" and win the Premiership.

GW80
Don't think they have the squad to win the premiership, but they played some stuff yesterday evening, i think everton need the Lescott saga finished once and for all to let them concentrate on playing football!! Mungler
Be interesting to watch - some real talent in that young squad - good luck to them. Took Everton apart and then some.

jinxy72
sorry guys but i have to disagree ... arsenal aint got it together enough to win the title ... not this season anyway . now being a born and bred manc with a RED heart ( sorry gordon r but man u through and through ) the team i think will be dangerous this season are spurs !!! ... what rednapp has done is brilliant .... and the team are 100 per cent up for it this season with a fantastic goal scored recently... the team has experiance where as arsenal are all too young. ........ but then again MAN UTD will win again :good: (well i had to say that didnt i )
Gordon R
I don't see Man U winning the league. Ronaldo - absolute ****, but world class footballer - gone. Giggs, Van de Sar and Scholes - a year older. Ferdinand - a year more careless. Rooney - a year angrier, but never wiser.

Ronaldo would be missed by any team, but let United get into the flow and watch United of the past come to life again. 4-4-2 is the way United are their most dangerous. Van Der Sar is still one of the greatest keepers in Europe, Ferdinand is second to none including John Terry and which team in the premiership wouldn't want Scholes and or Giggs to come in off the bench? And Rooney!!! Your comment there shows how little you know about football. Arsenal are always good for tearing the odd team apart when they are having a bad day at the office; But they are miles away from winning the league. There team is so one way, all the players so similar. This makes them predictable. Yes they can pass round you in a telephone box, but you stick it up 'em and they crack at the seams. They rarely have a plan B making them in my opinion an average team that looks good from the outside. The league is almost a top three and Arsenal in a seperate league thats being quickly caught up by others. I second Spurs being the team to watch; Top five finish is my prediction.... huntercarbine
I agree spurs will be the team to watch out for, as for arsenal, being a chelsea fan the gunners were frightning at the weekend. another season for wenger to build the young players around fabrigas and they may dominate for a few years. what a shot, ahem cross from drogba! phew! jonno 357
Its going to be an interesting season and I think its either Man U or Chelsea Arsenal look the weakest team out of the big four. ****shaving and Edwardo flappy foot might grow some *******and give the red army a run for there money Chelsea will be strong as usual with Drogba as there main target man and fat frank as stalwart in mid field to drive the blues on Owen and Rooney will shine Liverpool has a fat spanish waiter that relies on penalties to win a game. jinxy72
Owen and Rooney will shine Jonno lets hope so . ive waited a long time to see owen in a man u shirt .. have a lot of respect for this player ... and he just got ruined by liverpool after his gloriuos euro 96 ... they burnt him out. and newcastle expected too much from him really and he never seemed to fit in. i think ( and hope ) he will fit in nicely at man u ... maybe not this season for high numbers of goals but once he has settled i think his form will re-appear
Gordon R
Cosd - I need no lectures about my knowledge of football. If you are someone who rates Wayne Rooney - good luck. You have posted your lack of knowledge for all to see. Rooney was a real talent a few years ago. He hasn't grown up and is like a petulant schoolkid. I see that Burnley share my lack of knowledge. Had they known better they would have probably just rolled over and lost. Ah well. Edited August 21, 2009 by Gordon R

He'd get into any of the top 4 teams in the premiership. You don't have a dickie mate! Quality Belief Urgency Vision Able to turn a game on it's head in a split second Passing Tackling Shooting Strength What else do you want? The guy is 23, he's still got 4-5 years before he gets to his full potential. Really mate, I can't see many supporters of any club who wouldn't want Rooney in their team as a regular. You sound like a very bitter Evertonian with Rooney shirts you can't wear any more! Name me a team he won't get into?

Gordon R
Cosd - Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc. He was a teenage talent. Now he looks overwieght and has a hair trigger temper. He could represent England at getting mad without cause. Judgement is suspect - see previous comments about "Granny". He is not fit to lace Ronaldo's boots, or Messi, Kaka and more.

I can see you losing AGAIN home and away to town I see Ken is still taking the **** out of you lot in the 3rd div with the ticket prices. Isn't that one just above part timers and amateurs ? Thats called passion for the game. Yes it may get a yellow card and even a red card now and again 3 goals in 3 games ? Gordon R
No sour grapes . Never rated Charlton, Cantona. Best - world class. Dennis Law - even better. Rooney - fat little boy, with a plain wife, a taste in elderly prostitutes, some talent, very limited IQ and an inflated ego. Can't stand the little wimp personally.
