Guest Patsmash
looks like a tasco varmint ?
Pike
Looks like pretty much the same set up as me, CZ .22 with Tasco Varmint. I have the Varmint mill dot's on my .22LR and airrifle and, on guns with that sort of loping trajectory, find the mill dot system very useful. They always seem to hold zero well however much I abuse them. My mate did, however, try the illuminated reticule version and found it to be completely unreliable. dunganick
im looking for a new scope because the damned thing shoots straight as anything, but you can never predict where the group will be the scope at the moment is an very old airgun scope called an Edgnar (not Ed brothers) and its useless, i know its not the mounts as the mounts are very nice hilver ones so they are fine, so its got to be the scope. so going to get a new scope and then if the problems persist it comes out of the wood and i glass bed it and make sure the barrel is 100% free floated (not that with a havey barreled rimfire it should make any difference. Frank
Mack, Thats some camera phone , great pictures . What phone do you have? My camera phone is not the best and only manages the odd good photo :( .
mack
Yup CZ Style 22lr. Tasco Varmint. I quite like the varmint with mil dots and the price is reasonable. I am told it doesnt have the optics of more expensive scopes and it doesnt seem to handle low light very well but it does its job for me. Check out the 'bipod' , very useful piece of kit. You can use it as a walking aid, the bungee slides up and down easily so you can quickly set the rest height for standing, kneeling and sitting shots. The legs can be unequal lengths to cater for slopes or rough ground, and then, when you a few in the back, simply hock them and hang them on the canes over your shoulder. Camera phone is excellent. It is a nokia 6330, 1.3 megapixel. I love the scope shot and when I go again I want to get something behind the crosshairs. Took ages to line up but worth it I think. mack
Sorry, yes its a 6630. I work with mobile phones and have loads so get confused with the numbers sometimes. The Style mod is an unbranded one, seems to be ok although Ive not compared it to a PH or SAK. Just had the barrel chopped to 14" and its really sweet now. rjimmer
Getting to the time when I think I could have some use for a mobile phone. Don't fancy holding all those microwave emissions close to my head, so it's got to be an ear-piece job. Don't want a contract so it's got to be pay-as-I-go. What sort of deals are there?
mack
Lots of PAYG deals out there. Check out deals like Fresh from Carphone Warehouse and Easy Mobile, Virgin, Tesco mobile, as well as the big 4. You will find their websites on the net. It depends upon how you want to use the phone and how much you use it. SMS? Voice? Lots? Little? Bluetooth headset or wired? etc Good luck
