shoughton
The farmer where I shoot has just drilled a field of rape. I suspect that it's going to be a good while before it does anything as the ground is dry beyond all belief at the moment. But, given rain, how long will it take to shoot (I will be asking the farmer this week) - and when does it become attractive to woodies? Lez325
As soon as the shoots appear in my area they are on it like a shot ( No pun intended) Les

Catamong
In my area they may not touch it until after Christmas, it looks like there's a big acorn crop this year, they won't go on the rape until they've scoffed all of the acorns. pigeon controller
We have rape comming through at present and the birds are ignoring it totally, we also have a huge acorn crop this year and it may be some time before they touch the rape.
