its near a MOD range (used to be one years ago until the m4 chopped it in half !!) down a long lane that seems to be going no-where ....... exactly where you'd expect to find a range i guess its 100 yards until lunchtime then move back to 200 for the afternoon, makes no odds if your only shooting 25/50/75 etc yards as you just move your targets back with you cant remember exactly how much it is, i think it was (about) £200 odd for the pair of us, but thats a lot of wednesdays and saturdays shooting

dont think so Steve, me and the mrs popped along to meet Richard and signed up there and then, my father in law came along on a guest day a while later and loved it so he joined too - very friendly, relaxed place to spend a day

just join severnside range and shoot (almost) any weds and saturday - just over the bridge in Magor only goes out to 200 yards but thats more than plenty for zeroing and plinking

i only asked for 500 of each as i live near a rfd so getting a top up isnt a problem, others have 2 or 3 times that amount - how much do you think you need ?

ground clearance is a bit touchy ill admit, its got a stupidly low gearbox x-member which doesnt help but, as a general 'do most things' truck it does ok, half decent tyres helped mine massively

i use my shogun pinin for almost everything now iv sold my l200, with a set of g/grabber a/t's and its proper hi/low/diff lock box the little pinin does just about everything the l200 could do but does it owing me next to nothing and it doesnt matter if it collects a dent or two along the way and averaging 30mpg !! i bought if about 3 years ago for £250 (iirc) and in all that time its only asked for a set of discs/pads, a timing belt and general servicing and recently a little bit of welding - cant fault that

i love my Howa - does everything i need it to do

i have an old brno mod 2...........it does everything expected of it and it owes me almost nothing.......pound for pound it couldnt be beaten !!

this ^^, i wanted one and got a variation but couldnt justify (afford ) the 3k (approx) price tag !! bought an akms instead.....almost as much fun for a fraction of the price

funnily enough myself and my mrs have ordered new 3310's to escape this smart phone nonsense ! my samsung will recieve a 7.62x39 and shes decided hers will take a .303 for its smugness to all those that dont understand technology

hide the gun in the room as best you can and take the forend/bolt off/out and hide/take with you, apart from hiding the fact your carrying a gun theres not much more you can realistly do imo
