I got a crappy old air gun but the trigger is to hard for him. Anyone recommend one with a light trigger. Iam not looking to spend rapid or super ten money. Don't make it too light as it will go off if you brush against it. Found this out with my Daystate and keep fingers away from trigger now until ready to fire. bruno22rf Posted August 24, 2014 Report Share Posted August 24, 2014 Dont be too eager to give a beginner a gun with a light trigger Just about any modern gun will have a decent trigger-if you look at something like a Meteor then you will find the gun will also have enough power to deal with small vermin at reasonable ranges should your boy wish to take up hunting. kent Posted August 25, 2014 Report Share Posted August 25, 2014 Just remember trigger pull is linked to sear engagement on most triggers and a spring piston airgun is always wanting to let go. Brooksy789 Posted August 27, 2014 Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 I have a old BSA Lightning XL and the trigger is very light and smooth. Its no fancy 2 stage jobey but is easy to get a feel of. Not sure if its been lightend as i bought it off someone. A friend of mine bought a new chinese air rifle and you litrally had to squeeze as hard as you possibly could to fire it, horrible rifle it was!
