Pickerup picked me up at 2pm and we drove all of a mile to one of his perms, drove onto the barley stubble and 100+ lifted..hello..and they came back nicely.

We decided to set up in two hides to try and keep them moving. Just set up and the farmer arrived to cut the hedges where Pickerup had set up

He moved to another adjacent field and it went very quiet.....few Corvids about and luckily I packed my crow decoys..

It was really windy and the pigeons wouldn't commit but it gave us the opportunity to to take on some high birds at speed which was great sport.

Just poured myself a coffee and I noticed a charlie about 100 yards away, stayed very still and started to call him in...he liked the look of the pigeon on the flapper and came in very slowly, kept calling and he kept coming...

Waited until it was 25 yds away then stood up,it turned nicely and gave it both barrells..Hull superfast 29Gm 6's...dropped like a lead balloon

Young vixen that will not see the morning...my first fox.. :good:

I finished on 8 pigeons and 10 corvids....cracking afternoon. Pickerup had 22 pigeons and a corvid.

A nice mixed bag..
