Depends what you want it for and if it has been altered in any way.

Miroku build excellent guns, the MK38 is a development of the well proven 3800.

If unaltered it will be heavy, which is desirable for soaking up the recoil of a lot of cartridges but undesirable in a gun to be carried far. Choke if fixed is likely to be 3/4 + full, if you are a very good shot then 32 gr of 4s or 5s will give you a hell of a long reach. But if you are a more average shot then more open chokes would be better for you.

If you are wanting it for shooting trap then you cant really go wrong if it fits you.

Fit of the stock is different to Beretta, some prefer one some the other. I have had 3 or 4 Mirokus but prefer the fit of my 687. Generally its the bend of the stock, I found myself missing up the left hand side with most of the Mirokus.

thanks for the replies gents, glad to know it was a good choice.

your correct in your assumption that it has been bought for trap... ive only ahot trap a couple of times, the first time being a complete disaster, but i tried again last weekend and really enjoyed it.

I bought it as it was a good price (£550) and also because i use my semi auto for most things but figured that it was probably a bit rude to be spitting carts over someone else while theyre trying to concentrate...

Its has 32 inch barrels, fixed at full and three quarter.

The stock could do with a refurb but the action is nice and tight and the bores are spotless.

it seems to fit reasonably well, but im having a proper fitting in july so i may get it adjusted if needed.

I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow...
