Zetter
There are a couple of options Colin you can either go for the airstream mark 5 which is a reflex type it looks spiffy and keeps the length short but to be honest is a bit mediocre in my opinion for sound deadening. The second option if you don't mind adding a bit of length is a weihrauch mod which pound for pound is probably one of the best moderators for airguns on the market. Mail order you are a bit stuck unless you get one of somewhere like airgun BBS 2nd hand off a private seller as airgun mods fall under the same RFD rules as airguns hence face to face. Locally R+K Stockcraft usually stock both and I think the weihrauch one is about £45 new. Hope this helps Neil
bluesj
You can get a sak for around 30 quid good for a .22 rim fire and not bad on an air rifle but i think there are better air rifle mods around

They are the one by which all the others are compared. Edited May 18, 2015 by Les*1066

robbiep
Pretty sure that if buying any moderator from a dealer then it must be F2F. Private sales can be by post though

They're nice and short, but they aren't brilliant at doing what they're meant to! As suggested, the best for sensible money is propabably a HW silencer. It might be worth checking out the AA Q-Tec. On my Daystate it was definitely quieter than the Weihrauch, but is usually about £20+more.

secretagentmole
On my Mk 3 a Phoenix carbon moderator beat both an HW moderator and a Hogan Decimeter moderator.
Les*1066
On my Mk 3 a Phoenix carbon moderator beat both an HW moderator and a Hogan Decimeter moderator. Out of interest, what were the decibel readings for the three moderators?
secretagentmole
Muzzle blast levels were 67 db HW, 64 db Hogan, 62 db Phoenix.
