WinchesterDave
Just seen there has been one killed in an explosion and around 11 injured outside a wine bar in Germany.... They reckon the 1 killed was the person carrying the explosives. What is going on here!! Axe attack on the train , killing spree with a pistol, a person killed with a machete and now this! Wonder what will be tomorrow and next week...
Lloyd90
When you let hundreds of thousands of unvetted, unchecked military aged men into your country, who claim to be refugees (but don't even come from the country that's in war) who have a totally contradictory ideology to your nation, and deep set extremism, this is bound to happen. Merkel is entirely to blame and I hope the people hold her fully accountable.
Vince Green
He was a failed Syrian asylum seeker who suicide bombed himself into the pages of the history books at a music festival But we mustn't stereotype him Edited July 25, 2016 by Vince Green
Gordon R
I genuinely wonder whether Merkel worries about it at all, or will she just be concerned about the next election. Far removed from the scene of these atrocities, do leaders ever consider the damage that they have done?

(Worse than Hitler, now that's a bit claim). Hope she gets everything she deserves!
Gordon R
It seldom seems to come back to haunt them. They make decisions - think Tony Blair - leave office and live a nice comfortable life - still alive. The dead do not share the same luxury. Bazooka Joe
You get the impression that if they spit the dummy & blow themselves & others up the west will give in & let them have their own way. Reminds me a bit of the remain camp. Just my opinion though.........
Dick
So why wasn't a failed asylum seeker deported immediately. Or at least detained until deportation.

Cannot deport them without paperwork so what is the first thing they do when they set foot in Greece, Spain etc? Burn the passports so they can raise 2 fingers up! Far removed from the scene of these atrocities, do leaders ever consider the damage that they have done? There was a man being interviewed on the radio, he was a German journalist of some sort. He said the Merkel & Co are panicing now but like you said its all about the next election.
