    Music.

Wow cranfield v. clued up I'm impressed mate and YP too! I don't find mine lose quality personally and for the price difference (30p a cd to a £13 album ) If I like the band or songs enough then I guess I'll buy the album but often i download listen a few times then ditch them. I'm gonna go for "Feeder - Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days in the sun", probably be more EGNWT and BigDave's taste than the rest of you pensioners went to see them in concert a few weeks ago, they were great
  9. Underneath where you make a post (near posticons) Click browse and find the file you want to upload then select "open" and the location of it will be entered into the box, then just click "Post New Topic" You can only do this in Photos of Shooting Related Stuff. Any questions just ask I've pinned this topic for reference You can only upload one photo per post
  10. Cranfield they are not on the PW server, you were linking to fishing works, if you have the pictures still it'd be much easier for you to upload them here and this way they'll stay here permantly
  11. OK - so I'll promise not to inject my fish with Bee VENOM and Acetic ACID!!! Actually just think about this for a minute. They INJECTED fish with saline or handled - and this was the CONTROL group which (by inference) didn't show any anamolous behavior. So what's the difference between a hook (which doesn't inject ANYTHING) and a needle!!!!). To me it rather proves the OPPOSITE to what they claim. IE providing we steer clear of venom/acid tipped hooks then fish show no signs of distress.

  14. Hi YP, I been away for 3 weeks, going to have to check on it soon!! I'm in half a mind to put a few pheasants down but without care and maintence I have hatched a new plan and thats to place a couple of hoppers in there come later summer and hopefully attract the poults from the neighbouring farmers shoot I've been down a few times and each time have heard many go up to roost I'd say about 5-6 cock pheasants definately because thats what I've counted, make a hell of a noise when they go up And would imagine theres a good number of hens there too! Shame I can't do any real maintence there but perhaps in the summer holidays I'll get a chance to go down and try and clear a ride and put a bit of straw and feed them. By next season I'll have my two dogs back and so will be able to really beat through the wood and hopefully will put up a lot more pheasants than this past year Anyone got any advice it'd be very welcome
  15. With modern farming becoming more and more efficient do you guys see a time when there will be no place for pigeons to feed and a crash in their population? Obviously the change would not be instantaneous but its a worrying thought. However I was thinking about something the other day which may have profound implications for pigeon shooting and in fact lead to an increase in pigeon populations although not neccesarily making our lives easier because pigeons will have a lot more choice! With Iraq now theoretically being a US state, certainly with the oil which will be pumped straight out to Western nations this may be backtracked. However oilseed rape oil if I am correct can be used to power cars, it would be completely eco-friendly fuel, of course there will be Carbon dioxide emissions but the carbon dioxide produced will be the exact amount of Carbon in the plant which had been produced in the plant before it was cut due to photosynthesis, it can't produce carbon from nowhere So it would result in no increase in CO2 in the atmosphere because all CO2 released will be captured again by the next crop of oilseed rape!! So if this is the case then why doesn't the government pour money into research of this? Well think about the tax they put on petrol and diesel, how could they justify taxing so heavily a fuel which has no bad reprocussions for the environment?

    Flys

I used to get my flies from: http://www.carrilon.com I had a catalogue which is must easier to see but I think they do online ordering too, may be worth a look for comparing
  17. I have two dogs and they mean the world to me, I cannot imagine why or how anyone could do such an awful thing, you have all my sympathy.

    Site Update

Some of you may or may not have noticed: http://www.pigeonwatch.co.uk has been updated with the new reports . I'm going to be away for 3 weeks and thought that I should get them all up so that when I come back hopefully there won't be too vast a number!!
  19. I have to say that spotting your decoys in the 1st picture was very difficult, they simply blended in too much with the ground. You either need to raise them off the ground a bit or purchase a floater or two to put a dead bird on, this way birds will be able to see your pattern from a much greater distance . The first picture the decoys must be about 20-30 yards out and yet the blend in with the ground so much they are almost unviewable, a floater or something to raise up the decoys will allow the pigeons to see them from much greater distances and so they should hone in to your pattern

    JOKE

No its okay YP I believe you Its just a sneaky trick to avoid the filter and I accept it was genuinely an accident, its only if it happens repeatedly
