  1. Not a good bag!!! I didn't see that many flying last Sunday :hmm:
  2. Good shooting russ... ...I had one of those days last Sunday, shot two woodies but missed 4 that I shouldn't have ! Still loved it though
  3. Russ, get in touch with ricky green on this forum.... wobblers, make em himself, excellent!
  4. I was given a brand new net buy someone who has retired from shooting. It was brand new but he kept it tied up just as he bought it for many years; It was never opened and allowed to breath. When I opened it up it turns out to be about 20' x 8' The other thing is it's a bit mouldy in a few places, theres like a white powdery patches. Two questions, how do I get rid of the mould? I tried spongeing but goes away when wet then reapears when dry again. :look: And secondly, I was thinking of cutting it down to 20' x 5', what do you reckon? Sounds silly but to save carrying 20' x 3' netting sounds good to me! Ideas for the off cut might be good too..... Thanks for the advie as usual guys
  5. MrToad, if you click the sponsors site above there are patterns shown and explained there, otherwise there are plenty of threads if you use thesearch button above. I'm quite new, but I'd say v and l shape
  6. Grift, Now you have cut up 3 perfectly good cartridges and wasted 28g each, thats 84g you have wasted. Thats 84 carts 1g less each Or 168 carts .50g less each or 336 carts .25g less each STOP CUTTING CARTS, SHOOT THEM INSTEAD
  7. Thanks for the advice guys. Want to keep the cost reasonable as I need 3 so thats 2 packs with 1 extra. Going Costco tomorrow so will look at these. Anyone use VOX on these WT's? I read you just talk when ready and you don't need to press the talk button...! Sorry to sound thick but know absolutely nothing about these.

    I need a man

My advice would be to take a card to the shop/s with some pictures you are familiar with and try it out in the frames before you buy. I presume your mum has a digital camera, though it doesn't need to be the same, its nice to be able to take out the storage card from the camera and straight onto the photo frame. There are hundreds of photo frames to choose from, obviously the well known branded ones are higher priced, but if you go into one of the large electrical retailers you won't go too far wrong. They have their own 'unknown' brands and though some great bargains can be had on the net, at least you can try them out and can walk back into the shop if there are problems. good luck nearly forgot, to save some money, go into the large retailer try them out, then go onto their website and order from there; Same product, same shop, cheaper price......
  9. Hi henryd I'm going to go with the majority here and say garnite is the way to go. It really is bullit proof. Barring a hammer there isn't much that will damage it, maybe if you dropped a heavy pan on an edge might chip it; But other than that, you can take boiling pans off the hob and straight onto the granite, they are clean and hygenic, and will last forever. My advise in any kitchen refit is the two most important things are the worktop and floor surface. These two components take the heaviest use, get these right and your kitchen will look great for many years. Good luck mate

    Two Farms

I work on computers but I'm pretty handy at putting my hand to anything. Fixing and DIY are my fortes. It's something I suppose, but a day at a time sounds good and I didn't think of that. I can go back to 1 of the farms as I didn't get the answer from the farmer himself; But I lost my chance of selling myself on the other one I think.

    Two Farms

Had my eye on two farms I pass every day to and from work, built up the courage to go in and ask if there was any chance of any vermin control (12g shottie), and both have groups of people and are full. Gutted as 1 of them gets absolutly hammered with crows every day, they are in flocks of 100 - 200 at any time. Got to keep trying though 'cos current farm is a 120 mile round trip...!
  12. Si bore you think you have problems, at the moment I get excited when I see 1 coming at me ???
  13. Thanks for the advice sprinter. That makes me feel so much better because even though I really like this new net I just got (20foot long by 8 foot high) I really do miss standing in a well hidden area with no net obstructing my view. Sometimes I'm sitting behind a net and I'm like one of those bobbin dogs you used to get on car backshelves So place the net about nose height whilst seated, head just popping over the line with a face net that I already wear (overkill I know)
  14. Your mate is absulutely right, They ain't complicated and you can use a windscreen wiper motor. I started mine got motor and rods. Then I saw a thread on here and heard about Andy Moss magnets. I ended scrapping making one and bought one off him as the components would have cost me more to make. By the time you add all the bits, then battery, then charger etc, etc... Got one off Andy for £65 delivered, rotor, battery, charger, flying decoys, delivered and all. Job Done
  15. 2 years on and I'm still trying to find out what this is and how I can get one. Surplus and Adventure have them, its basically an ultra light version of the gillie suit with over 700 synthetic camo leaves and extra leaves and burlap to adapt for different terrain try here http://www.surplusandadventure.com/shopscr2731.html Hope you can get one (if not try fleabay) HSH Can anybody clarify this please im not sure but is it right that this one is 30m long and 2.7m wide for just £10? Thanks Yeah you were right, the only thing is there was only one and I just bought it. :o :o Just kidding..! No ain't as good as you thought; I've seen this before as I have the same net. It's on a 30m roll and costs £9.95 per metre. If you want whole role 30 * £9.95 = £298.50
  16. OK here goes the first one..... that bird looks like she's been eating all the oil and none of the rape seed
  17. Alright al4x, I get your drift, but are you avoiding the request? You being a bit possesive?? :o
  18. say it how it is bob300w This one ain't for me guys. Personally I like the picture al4x has on his profile. He should post a clicky for that.
  19. Is it OK to set the net to a height where you can see over it whilst seated? I was shown that you need to be below the line until last moment? I know a lot of common sense comes into play here, but do many people sit behind the net with head above?
  20. Is it me or does anyone else have difficulty looking through camo netting? I know the rule about moving around as least as possible, but I find myself bobbing up and down, side to side to keep a look out. I can't be the only person with this problem.........am I?
  21. Hi funky, If you do a search on the forum, you'll see this has been covered. I remember reading a few people talking about the noise and some "funky" suggestions on how to make them more quiete. Wouldn't taking the wings off make them quieter?
  22. sounds like a good bag to me....well done
  23. Does anyone know if there are any film footage anywhere where I can see bouncers working? I made my own and they do move in the wind, but I'm not sure if they move enough.
  24. Who's 'will' masterblaster?
  25. I've used Ebay a fair amount selling car parts and my advise would be to choose your category carefully and to use up as many characters as you can in the heading. Remember one thing, when you do a search on ebay it searches the heading (unless you click an optional box which also searches key words in the actual listing), the wording doesn't have to be in the same order. So if you enter 'Apple I-Pod' and I search for any of the two words or both in the reverse order it will come up. The more you put in the heading the more chance it will pop up in someones search. If I was selling a similar item my heading would be something like 'Apple Ipod 6gb Pink original headphones charger complete box instructions' I haven't counted the characters in my example and there is a limit, but the point is any words someone enters in their search to match any words I have used will bring up my add. The more people that see your add the more chance you have of getting to those buyers who really want your item. There is a delay in the add being made live, but if one of mine took days then I would e-mail Ebay and tell them as you pay a fee for a fixed time. Your 7 days for example should begin from when the add goes live.
