  1. A different brand but these are an excellent tool & the hassle they avoid is worth the money they save on wasted ammo.
  2. Very rough looking ondition. Working order but low power. Open sights no scope rails. £25 collect from Wednesfield, Droitwich or Telford, possibly Burntwood or Prees Heath. Sorry no posting.
  3. S/F, mil dot, i/r. Fair condition, signs of use but not battered. In use untill sold. I actually prefer this compared to the Hawke Vantage scopes I own. The i/r is blue or red, just fitted a new battery & the adjustment buttons are temperamental (I don't use i/r) no covers or box. Collect from Wednesfield, Droitwich or Telford possibly Burntwood or Prees Heath. No post. £50.
  4. Good condition for its age, holds air no leaks. Comes with a new fill adapter, original sound mod, Sportsmatch 1" mounts, Hawke Nite Eye 4-16x50, lined rifle slip. 10 shot inline magazine capacity + one in the breach. In use untill sold. Collect from Wednesfield, Droitwich or Telford, collect / try in Burntwood or Prees Heath. Will deliver local to those areas if you want to try it in your garden or on your perm. No posting. Asking £500 for this well made over engineered rifle.
  5. Three Remmington knock down targets. Pigeon, Crow, Wild Boar. Pull cord reset. New not taken out of the box. Change of plan. £15 each. Collect from Droitwich, Wednesfield or Telford.
  6. Found during a sort out. Early Gunpower Stealth hammers x3, fill adaptor x2, seals x2, spring, unf adaptor, breach / handle. Sell as one lot for what they cost me £65 or sell individually. Reality is demand will be virtually non existent & they have to go so ANY offers ? Collect in the Midlands or post at cost (sign for delivery) Cash or B/T. Be a shame to put then in the scrap recycle bin !!
  7. I don't mind wind, I don't do rain anymore !
  8. The slot is for legs. I now use shell decoys but over the years I put full body decoys on the ground. Seemed to work OK at the time.
  9. After many years I've learnt every day, every situation, every location is different. Just when you start to know it all everything changes. All advice is best thought of how to adapt that advice to your situation on that day. If shots are far & few between just make value of observations.
  10. Spring kits are an easy fix. I've yet to do my hmr trigger though. I did experiment on my 22ly but after I broke the side plate where the pins go through I replaced with a Timney trigger. Pure luxury compared.
  11. I just get my cleaning gear / solvents from my local rfd. I'm lucky being spiolt for choice in the Midlands. Every shop I visit I have a mooch & ask questions. Every answer is different depending on what they stock !
  12. I've never bothered to clean any of mine. I would if there was a genuine reason to but so far nothing has convinced me it's needed.
  13. I travel around the Midlands a fair bit from Worcester to Telford / Whitchurch plus the west Midlands black country so I am spoilt for choice. It depends what you want a rfd for but for one actualy in Burton I would say Livens & recomend them.
  14. Livens are OK. Where I live I'm spoilt for choice. Last time I went to Livens I bought 22ly / hmr ammo.
  15. Just recieved mine so still in the box. First on my to do list is make a bait hanging net in steel mesh (walnuts in shell) so the squirrels nose goes through the trigger, blank plate for the back & restrict the entrance.
  16. One at 40/50yds as a distance marker. Pigeon will land with corvids on the ground but never seen corvids land with pigeon on the land. If I'm useing crow only decoys just 2 or 3 work as good as anything, extras not needed.
  17. Very rough neglected looking. Working order. I guess it needs a service as well. £35, collect from Wednesfield, Droitwich or Telford.
  18. Logun Mk2 in good working order. Used not battered. Gunbag, sound mod, fill adaptor. £400. With mount + Hawke Nite Eye £450. With mounts + new boxed Hawke Vantage £500. Collect from Wednesfield or alternatively Droitwich, Telford, Burntwood, Prees Heath or meet at a club or shooting ground near Wednesfield ie Millride.
  19. I shoot from a seat decoying, either a drum with a swivel seat or fishing Box seat, I use tall undergrowth in front of a high hedge for a hide, I shoot sat down. For roost shooting I stand in front of a tree or bush moveing locations as needed at the time for new flight lines. I've been reading about the Churchill method after buying an AYA XXV. Going to give it a try at harvest. At the moment I'm rifle shooting.
  20. Stealth. Take one (or more) on each visit. Don't retrieve untill the others have flown off. Don't educate then to where the danger is.
  21. I tried hv's & wasn't impressed. I zero subs at 60yds, the grouping is mainly in the top part of the 1" dot. My local range goes out to 115yds so often practice. I would sat 120yds is doable if you practice a lot with subs. Forget hv's & try to stick to about 80yds
  22. I actualy like them, my other Sidewinder has the plain screw in ones & not a fan of those.
  23. A nice Hawke Sidewinder 10×42. Flip up mental caps, boxed etc etc. The last of my fixed mag scopes in my spare scopes clear out. Asking £150. Collect from Wednesfield, Droitwich, Telford, Burntwood or Prees Heath. Will also meet at gun clubs near to Wednesfield ie Millride / Aldersley etc.
