  1. What brand/make are these? Are they for centrefire use?
  2. Hi. Over the years, I've managed to lose a few of the stakes that came with my sillosock decoys. Does anyone have suggestions for replacements? I have contacted UKShootwarehous to see if they sell replacement ones but interested to see if anyone else has other ideas? Thanks.
  3. The poles I have have a kind of screw type bottom, so you turn them to actually get them in making them excellent for really soft ground so you can screw them in deep but also to get them in to hard ground. Can't remember where I bought them from though but they are dedicated pigeon hide poles.
  4. As above, for sale, as I no longer have ferrets. I bought it brand new a couple of years ago, but never really had time to use it so it has only been used a maximum of four times. The receiver is in excellent condition. The collar has a telephone number written on it (in case of loss) but these can be replaced easily for a couple of quid. The transmitter on the collar is in excellent condition. Comes with current batteries. £100 posted. No offers.
  5. Fair enough, but you should look into things before telling someone they've put up the most stupid idea ever.
  6. Tape over the end of the barrel is a common trick used by deer stalkers on their rifles to prevent any **** getting in to the barrel. The tape blows off well before the bullet leaves the barrel. I'm not sure if you can apply this to shotguns though.
  7. Paul Hart on this forum always has a good deal on Brattonsound.
  8. Went to check on the trailcam this evening and noticed this chap had been wondering around only 30 minutes before. Looks like I'll have to pay a visit with the rifle in the next couple of days. (Ignore the date; I only realised today that the camera puts the date in American format).
  9. Took it back to gun shop. Faulty swithch on the lamp.
  10. I've just bought a deben tracer 170 variable power hand held lamp. Nice beam and well constructed lamp. I have one question though; when I plug it into the lighter socket, it turns on and only turns off if I keep the switch depressed. Is this the normal way that it works? I thought normally it should turn on when you press the switch once and then press it again to turn it off.
  11. Federal once fired .243 cases £30 posted for 100. PM if interested.
  12. Shame to see another one closing down. How long had they been around for?
