  14. willxx, you miss my point a little. I drive approx. 25k miles per year and the other half about 15k miles per year.... mostly work/business related. I choose to have a less economic car..... petrol is costing me a fortune (could cost me a little less with a more economical car, but I choose not to). I agree that the price of petrol is ridiculous. I also agree that if a car is an "essential tool" to carry out your work.... you should not be taxed to the hilt as we are. I too have this issue. my point is.... people need to stop saying "mr cameron this.... mr clegg that...." because all these issues pre date these guys! it is BLAIR & BROWN who have created most of our issues..... tax and spend..... huge stealth taxes....and wasted the money. I often find amongst people I've been talking to recently (not just reading posts on a forum) that it is the numb nuts who voted in (& kept voting in) Blair & Brown who are doing all the whinging about the state of the country... but are blaming Cameron & Clegg. as i say, i don't particularly support this govt... and neither am left or right of the political spectrum... i just wish people would open their eyes a little... (rant no. 2 over.... last one.... as it keeps going a little off topic)
  15. I have to say guys..... I do love the responses that have "Mr Clegg this.... and Mr Cameron that..." I am by no means a supporter of this govt, however, have we all forgotten who has been in power for the previous 13 years? are the memories that short? the new pair haven't had a chance yet.... we are still suffering from the balls up of the previous govt..... it is not down to these two. do we think about who has sat in charge over a period when the govt coffers had huge tax inflows and inherited a growing economy back in '97? and through that time manage to waste billions as well as loosening all regulation on the banks? and now we are paying the price? petrol won't be going down, as the country is skint.... and it is a great money earner for the govt (whichever party.... as i don't remember it being "cheap" under the last lot)... we all use it... pretty much have to use it.... so that great source of income for the govt (to sort the balls up of the previous govt) won't be getting cheaper! the price of petrol is killing me personally, as I run a couple of juicy cars....(my monthly bill is more than a lot of my mate's mortgages) but it isn't Mr Cameron & Mr Clegg whom I'm blaming.... so let's wisen up shall we? (rant over.........! Cue mouthfuls of party political abuse from our left wing contingent)
  16. yep, another thumbs up for eset, I use it and is good
  17. the only other thing available that I have found is a mobile phone repeater..... expensive, but it does work. at present, o2 have no plans to bring out a femtocell product like vodaphone's sure signal http://cellantenna.co.uk/ cell antenna
  18. Just come back from 8 nights in vegas....(well it was supposed to be 5, but we were having too much fun and put the flight back 3 nights!) and when I could pull myself away from the craps table.... I too visited the Gun store, 2900 East Tropicana Avenue. (twice in fact). http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/gunrental.html i do not shoot anything other than clays when back in the UK, so it was fun to try something else.. well worth a visit... over the 2 trips to the gun store, I shot a 9mm glock pistol, 9mm ruger (not sure what exact ones!), an H&K MP5 twice (x2 lots of 50 rounds), M16, Sig Sauer 5.56 semi auto rifle, MP40 sub machine gun, & another semi auto rifle that I can't even remember! VERY ENJOYABLE. it opens at 9am, my advice.... get there early. for 9am if you can.... as it starts to get busy from around 9.45-10am, and then doesn't stop all day. worth coupling it with lunch at the supposedly "authentic" british pub - The Crown and Anchor - which is 1350 E. Tropicana Ave - as $20 in the bar poker machine gives you free lunch and a drink. as long as you "play through $20", you should get something back or may be even win.... so a cheap lunch! if you like to have a punt on the tables whilst you are there... but you are on a budget. go play at CASINO ROYALE, down from The Flamingo and just up from the Venetian, opposite side of the road to the mirage. on a mon, tues, weds.... most table minimums are $3. goes up to $5 on thurs, fri, sat & sun. (if you are a craps player... best odds bet on the strip... have 2 table that are x20 odds, and 1 table x100 odds). is only a small casino, and doesn't look much.... but if you're playing... drinks are FOC from the cocktail waitresses who come round (just drop them a $1) - although this used to be true in all casino's, we noticed that some were now even charging for drinks if you were playing (Caesars Palace for one). being a Vegas junkie (been 6 ort 7 times now)... pm me if anyone wants any advice on stuff. looking forward to my visit next Nov already! jonny
  19. well let me know when the next one is..... just moved down to romney.... so wouldn't be too bad to get to
