  1. Going on my first ever driven shoot and I can't wait, luckily I'm with a group of guns I already know and they are all very experienced, just hope that it's all it's cracked up to be, but to follow it up I'm on the same estate Monday as well what a wknd !!!
  2. Test drove one of these the other day, quite liked it tho it did seem a bit loud and rattley the misses has fallen in love with it. We do need a bigger car as we've just had a kid we live in very rural Cornwall and wants 4x4 so she can get everything she needs in the car as well as kid and dog. What are these like off road, running cost and reliability any help much appreciated.
  3. As much as most people are saying you get better dogs for rough shooting I take mine every week he'll work cover no spaniel or lab will look at, will retrieve pricked or dead birds sometimes admittedly the odd one gets slightly chewed on the way back but he's a terrier, I've taken him pigeon shooting hundreds of times and he'll pick up. However after saying all that he's still prone to what I call terrier deafness and at times its infuriating gets the scent of a deer fox or badger and he's gone. Also you've got to trust the people your shooting with because the colouring makes them look foxy. Also a little bit prone to disappearing down terrier sized holes which can be a problem for me the pluses out weigh the minuses I wouldn't change him
  4. Great vid great shooting but i'm most impressed by your dog looks a real beauty
  5. Brilliant i've clearly got some dirt in my eye thats why i'm needing to use the kleenex
  6. Webley & Scot 810 semi auto in great condition £350
  7. Thanks for the help fellas, reading it has convinced me to order a set i hope there in time to try out for next weekend roost shooting
  8. Just wondering wether any of you guys have tried lofting poles with decoys. If so how successful were they as i'm trying to decide wether to buy a set for myself. Any info appreciated. Cheers Matt
  9. My shooting buddy has 2 of these we use them for bushing and ferretting we've only tried one on the lamp but she has taken to it very well all in all i would say that thet are a very good all round dog. Can be a tad fiesty we sometimes have trouble with them and my border terrier but after 10 mins of sorting it out between themselves they all work well together.
  10. I think if you want to go to uni then you should be prepared to pay for it. These protests have made my blood boil they think there the only ones fascing hard times due to cuts. Not so. I'm a builder and actually contribute to the countries econonmy and over the the last 3 years have taken what amounts to 30 % pay cut just to keep working and i know i'm not on my own and don't get me wrong i know i'm still alot better off than a alot of people. So until these lazy B******* are willing to contribute to society they should shut the **** up.
  11. off out this morning to meet a guy from the local manor house. We've been trying to arrange a time when we can both make it for the past couple of month's what with work and other commitments. Anyhow were taking the ferrets for an outing as he has a bad rabbit problem on the house lawns, ferretting to start with but he mentioned shooting the adjoing farms fingers crossed, let you now later how we go.
