I have not had dumplings for at least 55 years so I thought I'd try them again. Not having any suet I followed the no suet recipe. I'm afraid to say they were awful. 😨 😱 I did some Yorkshire pudding to have with the stew and I enjoyed it apart from the dumplings that left a "twang" in my mouth.

I've just ordered a hard copy off fleebay 👍

Renewing the fat in the chip pan and put it in the netting instead of the pan first. Then lit the gas and nearly smoked the house out. Had to tip it out of the netting into the pan and of course it splashed. I hope the chips are worth it 👌
