BMW had a 1.5 4 cylinder in the 80's which produced 1300 bhp...some were reported at 1500 bhp in qualy trim... give it a few weeks when they've sorted them all out and it be back to normal and you won't be able to remember what they sounded like last year...

..I've just had 1 made from damascus barrell..for the average size finger..size y..which is roughly 22mm...you have to use the chamber end and have it lapped out...you need to make a jig/die to hold the barrell in the lathe..I'm on my second 1 now, ballsed the 1st 1 up..you also need to consider how your going to retain/regain the external pattern...it's not quite as straight forward as you'd imagine
