  1. NTV will be way to small for serious use, my boss has one he's 5'5" and it's just right for him, try a KLR or similar big (500 to 660cc) trail bike, if you will be all road work get a second set of wheels and stick some sticky road rubber on it. If you do go the trail bike with road rubber it is worth getting as soft a tyre as you can as a normal road tyre will not heat up enough and spoil your ride.. must agree with the Bandit 600 as a fantastic daily hack.
  2. I was thinking of an old fiesta, clio or similar for my wife to use on the school run (8mile round trip) and as a general run around, and get a diesel 4x4 to replace my old LWB vitara, not sure what yet..
  3. You could try what I am hoping to do in the next few months, buy a small diesel and make your own Biodiesel, you can get all steel 100 ltr processor for about £850.00 inc (or make one) and even if you can't get your local chippy to give you the oil you can buy it from dealers for about 20pp ltr, the finished bio will work out about 40pp ltr, oh and the first 2500 lts you make per year is tax free  not many will used more than that a year for non work milage.. i am not doing it to save the planet nor am I on any green crusade but becuse I am fed up payint 108.00 + for fuel.. (unless its for my zx9 that will still be fed on the best lead free, well you have to have one endulgence ) Just a thought

  5. I saw my dad for the first time in 37 years when I was 39, unfortunatly it was at his funeral, just wish I could have had 1 pint with him to have a chat and asked a few questions, his wife said he had wished the same, get the DNA test for both of you.
  6. There is a jab you could try that chemically castrates a dog for a few weeks(blocks the hormones I think) , that way you could see if castration would work, if not then you could re home??
  7. The bit where he was being slated in the local paper got me, I think he is assuming that the article was directly about the "chicken out" but I am sure it was more to do with him inspiring people to move to the area in doing so pushing up the house prices, he has gone from small holding celeb, to major biz with a massive publicity machine promoting the area and how good it is (and it is good).. as for the 12k a year ave wage I wonder what HFW pay's his staff, I bet its the local going rate..(I know it's biz) Oh and did anyone else think it may have endeared him more if he did not drive a landy one min and the next be being chauffer driven to meetings? On the hole I enjoyed the program, as I have all his previous ones, but I am not sure HFW got the balance right this time, I would not want to go for a pint with my mates and have what could appear to be a self rightious *** telling me I was somehow inferior for eating the wrong thing..
  8. 30,000 Fps oww thats quick
  9. I will prob be selling my 9600 shortly for the reasons I said earlier and not because anything is wrong with the quality of it, I will replace it with a Nikon D40x + a decent lens along the lines of 80 mm - 200 mm or a Canon EOS 350D again with similar spec lens. The only thing I have noted about the Fuji is that there may have been a batch of the 9600's made with faulty auto focus, as some people just can not get them to focus right, mine has always been fine..
  10. I got one early this year, even if you leave it in auto mode, it generally takes fantastic photo's 99% of the time, next year I am going to buy an SLR and fast lens for indoor sports photography, as that is the only place the 9600 has not been able to cope well, dont get me wrong its ok just not quite good enough.
  11. I had a Supersport as my first air rifle, I must admit I sold it because I thought a higher priced rifle would be better, so I got a TX 200 one of the first ones, the only difference was the TX was heavier, I still shot the same number of rabbits, I wish I had still got the Supersport as it would be great for my boy now, it was a great little rifle. If your not after live quary then you dont need a mod fitted so the Supersport would be fine IMHO I have never tried a Weihrauch so can't comment on them..
  12. Hi paul is it .177 or .22 and where are you?

  15. Sorry to drag this up again, Last night had my visit for renewal, nice chap, he inspected my guns checked the numbers were the same as on my ticket checked the cabinet and then did all he paperwork, when he went to leave he wanted to take my current ticket with him, I explained that I am away next week and was going to shoot some clays so would need my ticket to get carts, he gave my ticket back on the advising that I should send it to him as soon as I had bought the cartriges.. I was also advised that if I did not get my new cert before my old one expired it was ok because the new one would be dated from the date the old one expired?? If I got stopped when out I was to show the officer his biz card and get the PC to ring him he would clear me. I don't want to get on the wrong side of him but I don't want to give my current cert back untill I get my new one This is not a dig at any FLO but I wish all forces would get together and have a clear policy country wide as I think a lot of potential confusion stems from gun owner from different areas talking and getting hence giving different advice.
