  1. They do archery in a field on the left just past Ponders Bridge on the way to Peterborough. I have them coming to our youth group to give the kids a go, which they are more than happy to do. I/we are also in Ramsey.

    Bins

I was leaving our bin bags out on the same day for years when suddenly there was no collection for two consecutive weeks. I checked on the web and there had been no change in collection days for our area, so I put them out again on week three. When I got home from work they had been left with some warning notice attached about fly tipping. Turned out some *** had decided rubbish could only be collected in blue sacks and not black ones as per the last couple of decades. Nice of them to let us know
  3. 1 Sprocker dog 1 Toller dog Total 196 Soon to add 2 Toller bitches
  4. You could share the payments on mine for a while. Just to test the water, so to speak
  5. I think the tickets are printed now so they should start going out in the next day or so Good Luck everybody
  6. I think I may have some panels but I wont know until the weekend.
  7. Best bikes would be my 650 Katana back in 1982 probably followed by my ZZR1100. I have had quicker, lighter and more modern bikes but whatever you buy you can't get rid of all the traffic and speed cameras that there are nowadays. Best car is probably the Mercedes Vito that I have now. It has rear seats, so all the family can go in it in comfort, air con, cruise control, parking sensors and all the extras. It carries the dogs, stuff for renovating the house, horse food and tows a two ton trailer with ease. Best of all it only costs me £4 a week for diesel for 27k miles a year motoring because it is classed as a van
  8. Have to be honest, I have no idea who the guy is that donated it although I did hear talk of picking it up from Kent
  9. When my Uncle was our Mayor, a few years ago, it was unpaid. I expect Boris is getting a few quid though
  10. I dont think it is going to be March
  11. As you round a bend in a village near us someone has a made a stuffed man with a video camera held out in one hand. All the motorists soon put the breaks on when they see it
  12. Retriever. But will also be looking to do agility along with our other Toller
  13. Ten of these must be a massive drain on mum. They definately look well fed
  14. I think LPG vehicles themselves are considered safer than petrol vehicles also.
  15. Thanks for the post Very clever design.
  16. Looks good My Merc has no spare, just a small compressor and bottle of gunge, make sure you get at least that if there is no wheel.
  17. I have bought a couple of motorbikes at BCA. They are a fair bit cheaper and they are warranted against outstanding finance and being a ringer etc. I would definately be looking there. My mate bought an old frontera that was one owner and full service history with less than 40k on the clock for £300 last year. He intended it to be a cheap shooting vehicle but ended up selling it as he was offered £1,500. Obviously there are risks and you may prefer to have the reassurance of buying from a dealer but personally I don't think it is worth the extra you would pay. I am only 20 minutes from BCA at Peterborough, if you see a vehicle you like there I will gladly buy it for £3k, add another £2k and 3 months warranty and sell it to you Alternately buy a £5 ticket to win a Land Rover and if you are lucky you can also buy a nice family car
  18. Is anyone a member of any 4x4 forums or Landrover forums and could post a link please?

  22. Please tick the "gift aid" box as this is worth an extra 28% Don't forget to fill in the box called "Optional Donation Note" with wording something along the lines of "2 Land Rover raffle tickets please" or it will just go down as a donation. The tickets will be sent electronically or through the post. Incidentally I know all the people who set up and run this charity and they all give their time for free and foot most of the administraion bills themselves. Please feel confident that all donations actually get where they are needed and failing that just buy a couple of tickets knowing you have got a chance of winning a 12 seater Landy for a fiver
  23. The Mountain Trust are a charity that help educate Nepalese children and provide health care. A few months back I helped with the transformation of a Land Rover into an ambulance which is currently being shipped out to Nepal (I think it was covered in Land Rover Monthly a while back). Anyhow another Landy has been donated to the trust and they have decided to raffle it off at £5 a ticket to be drawn on the 31st May 2010. I am sure I don't need to tell you lot how good these are so it's got to be worth a punt. The Mountain Trust can be contacted through their website and they have a donations page. The donations page can only accept donations of £10+ so that's a good excuse to buy two and double your chances and can be found here http://www.mountain-trust.org/donate If anyone wants help to buy a ticket they can pm me also The Landy is sitting outside my office at work and I must say it dont look half bad. A coat of matt black on the front bumper/bullbar and a couple of spots mounted on, it will look the part. In fact I'll try and get that done before the draw Here is a draft of the tickets:
