  1. Isn't it obvious, who ever Nick Geiffin sides with is wrong. Nice try Henry but your trying to make discrimination and ethics the same thing and its not. You can't discriminate against people because of their sexuality no matter how much it upsets your beliefs,it's that simple, get over yourself.
  2. Nick Griffin's become involved now backing the religious zealots,I bet there happy about that fruit cakes support. You can't discriminate against people because of their sexuality, how hard is that to understand. There on a hiding to now where trying to carry this on,people will just think there like the Taliban. Grown ups with an imaginary friend,I can't take any of them seriously.
  3. I got told this years ago, thought everybody knew. Wonder why the program makers have waited till he's died? All that charity work, guilty conscious maybe? If I recall I believe a policeman in Leeds told me,think he said he was quite well connected as well. Maybe that's why the "victims" have waited till now,who knows. I'm not saying he was the "Yorkshire Gary Glitter" just relaying what I was told a long time ago. I have no interest in this just thought I would relay what I was told, whether it's true or false is another matter.
  4. Close protection team made a mistake,no harm done,they won't be happy.
  5. The pictures not even funny, They must be really boring people.
  6. It is a spectator who called the police and made the complaint not the footballer who was or wasn't racially abused so all the comments about just take it on the chin as a joke dont really fit here. It has been harder for me to actually see the video than it was to find about Ryan Giggs months before it became a rumour on the internet.Quite worrying really how the FA has shut down any site that plays it.But then again when they've kept the names of five premiership players who have been found to have been using cocaine quiet it doesn't surprise me. This is the sixth recorded time JT has supposedly done this to black players, these you can see on the internet for now. It just shows how racism is ignored by the FA which isn't on in my opinion. The fact he has done it and is captain of the England team when British soldiers of all colours are fighting and dying overseas. What must they think fighting for the same flag? He should get a lifetime ban from all football for two reasons, one for the reasons above and two because he's rubbish. Hatstand
  7. Okay in principal but I fear if they did shoot rioters and kill some then you would just see the rioters step up a gear and as was proved earlier in the year a mass outbreak of looting and rioting can not be controlled by any uk police force. After watching the rioters chase the police down this year I would be worried that their firearms would end up in the law breakers hands. Maybe the police should plan to get out on the streets a bit earlier next time as there was times when there wasn't any police presence for hours whilst looting and burning of premises was happening,or are they pretending that never happened?
  8. Who would of thought a bunch of teens nicking trainers and telly's could bring London to its knees. Just been reported that the softly softly approach is being taken because the Police know if a teen rioter dies then the adults will be on the streets and then it will be game over for them. A Inspector has answered calls for troops to be brought in and his reply was, "that would be just stupid". I look forward to seeing the next response from the Met, I'm guessing it will be "duck and cover" or "watch it burn". It must be frightening to be an innocent caught up in all this, you must feel helpless and alone,I really feel for them. Word round here is Bradford is having another bonfire on Friday night, Typical Yorkshire folk trying to make a weekend out of it.
  9. News is coming out that police radio was hit by police mans bullet and illegal firearm was found in dead mans sock unfired. So not looking like a shoot out as reported. Took twenty four hours to find the police radio with the bullet in at the scene. It's all going funny for the met firearms team again. I think I'll reserve judgement about this one till all the facts come out.
  10. Poor dogs, what an awful needless death, There seems to be about two incidents a year with police dogs being killed like this. Still, they still like to call themselves professionals, Shame the dog handler can't be locked in a hot car in a gorgilla suit till he expires. The article I read a while ago about dog breeders not supplying the police with pups makes sense now, You wouldn't would you.
  11. If you get a Land Rover your gonna have to waxoil it every year,no big deal but worth it in the long run, My Land Rovers twenty three years old got a galvanised chassis and a 200TDI eng so no need to waxoil, runs on anything i put in it, I do a two hundred mile round trip to South Shields every weekend at 80mph on the motorway, I'm just a numb Yorkshireman so to me its as comfy as my sofa at home, but some people would develop a back problem. Drive one then drive a Japanese one and you'll know what you prefer, A few friends have Japanese 4X4's and they are more comfortable and quieter and better mpg sometimes, I wouldn't put them in the same bracket TBH. I like driving in rivers round me and with a Land Rover you don't hesitate which I may not do if I had carpets that could get damaged. If you just gonna drive across the occasional field and have your other half in to the shops a lot get a Jap. If your in the country side a lot across all terrians in all weathers get a Land Rover. Land Rovers are the only vehicle in the world that look better with dinks and scratches. I'm driving across Morocco on my own with limited spares next year so it really has to be a Land Rover as they are a lot easier to work on and the thought of doing this in a Jap is just not cricket in my eyes. If you look after a Land Rover they are as reliable as anything else. If you decide on a Land Rover take somebody with you who knows them to check it out as there are a lot of dogs out there. If you have to ask which one I feel a Land Rover may not be for you but I could be wrong. Hope this helps, Hatstand.
  12. Thanks besty57, I'll go there, cheers for the info, Regards Hatstand
  13. dorianbuilders, If your transit has a bosch fuel pump then it should be okay, If it's got a lucas then it wont, There's a transit van forum on the net and I'm sure you'll find the info you want. Good luck. al4x, Looking at registering with the government for using the waste oil if it's allowed as there seems to be more of it available round here at the moment ( tight yorkshire men are starting the revolution against the most expensive tax on fuel in the world ). Don't want to get dipped but as I never go on main roads or stop in motorway services seems I've been lucky so far. But sometimes saving £60 a week is too much of a carrot for a simple bloke like me to resist. But your right nothing is worth getting into trouble for. If fuel prices keep going up at the rate they have been then I can see myself setting up a business selling second fuel tanks for cars  , ( yorkshire branches only )
  14. Thanks Figgy, I will get the details off the tinternet and give them all a call, Thanks again, Hatstand.
  15. I am going to be staying in South Shields in the next few weeks and was wondering if any body knew of any clay grounds near that I can just turn up at. Midweek and weekends. Failing any I'll just have to take a left and a right of fish and chip papers blowing down Ocean Road. Regards Hatstand.
  16. Just noticed how veg oil in supermarkets is going up in price, think their getting wise, Since my last post my friend gave me a tank of used hydralic oil which he collected for free,(not sure where this stuff comes from ) Once again no problems and ran just fine, When he has no stocks left I have started using bio diesel at £1.11 (seems so expensive after using the freebie stuff) a litre from a proper garage, This is cheaper than veg oil at asda at the moment, any body else using bio diesel? Any problems? Regards Hatstand.
  17. You filter used engine oil before you put it in your tank. Some people use a bucket and air pump filtering it through a 200 micron filter first then through a 100 micron filter then through a 4 micron filter. Just using pipes and tubes out of their garage. I know someone who uses paint paper filters and throws them away after and some people use steel 200 and 100 micron filters which they wash afterwards. The main thing to be careful of is that there is no antifreeze or other polluntants have been put in with the oil at the garages you get the used oil from. Just do your research for your vehicle, there's plenty of people on the internet doing this and showing you how to. I don't use this all the time only when my friend gives me some for helping him out and I don't do that many miles but I reckon I've saved more than a brand new engine is worth over the last two years. His used engine oil doesn't smoke at all in mine, might be because its a 50/50 mix. His latest batch is used hydralic oil which I will be trying at the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes. Hatstand.
  18. If you want to run on veg oil with no problems you could get a second tank fitted for the veg oil. This should heat the veg oil as well. Start on the diesel then when warmed switch over to the veg oil. Switch back to diesel before you switch the engine off. Check what kind of fuel pump you have. The lucas ones can fail with veg oil but the bosch ones seem better. Change fuel filters after about two hundred miles. If I was you I would look at running on used engine oil. My friend gave me half a tank of this he had filtered and mixed with unleaded petrol. Filled up with diesel and have cut my running costs by half. Garages have to pay to get rid of this so my friend gets it for free, even gets the unleaded for nothing from garages when people have put it into diesel cars and had to drain the tank. I cant notice any difference in power. The British army has been running on used engine oil/diesel since before WW2. Its ten percent unleaded you mix it with, don't use kerosene as this may come up as red diesel if dipped. Don't forget diesel is just oil with petrol mixed. I am running at a 50/50 mix but he runs it at 25% diesel 75% used engine oil in this weather dropping to 50/50 in winter. Not sure how legal it is but if you get dipped just say I asked my wife to put some engine oil in and she put it in the fuel tank, dizzy mare,The duty's been paid any way. When you are running about on fuel that is costing 35 pence a litre it does give you a warm glow inside. I run a Land Rover Defender 110 and it has run on all sorts with no problems but get on a Jeep forum or veg oil forum to see what other people have to say about your model of car. Don't be put off by the horror stories but do research and soon you will understand why all the Land Rover drivers in Hudersfield are always smiling. The filter system can be home made with a 200 micron, a 100 micron filter and two filters the same size as your fuel filters usually about four microns. Hope this helps and good luck. Hatstand.
  19. Does any body remember when the the American missile cruiser USS Vincennes shot down a civilian airbus over Libya killing all 290 civilians on board by mistake? No American was ever prosecuted for this. Then the Lockerbie bombing happened a few months later. Well who wouldn't of seen that coming? Megrahi never caused the Lockerbie bombing, he was offered up by Libya. As of talking about getting involved with Libya, When are we in the west going to realise that our troops are dying for nothing in these conflicts around the globe because somewhere in the future we believe they may have something buried of value we want in their land. There are dictators who are doing worse to their subjects than Gadaffi yet we just ignore them, they don't even make the news. Afghanistan- we went there to allow women to vote and to win "hearts and minds" really, nothing to do with the trillion dollars of raw materials buried there the Americans want. Getting involved with Libya would just be another half baked idea causing needless British deaths. Let them fight it out and who ever wins can come and have tea with the Queen and watch the lovely smart soldiers marching past. Hatstand.
  20. Have a look at Silver, its the new gold. As with any investment do your research first, You've got enough money to start making more. Hatstand.
  21. I think most of them are just from any where apart from London, There's only Polish spoken in Yorkshire now anyway it's great, Even the locals are speaking Polish as its easier than Yorkshire. Hatstand.
  22. Two pound bottle of cheap white then give it the soda stream treatment. You will be pleasantly surprised. If you dont tell any body before you serve it to them they never notice, You can experiment with different wines till you find one you really like. You can drink champagne every day if you really want to. There really is no difference, you must try it. Hatstand
  23. Hi John 46, Did you go? If so were you the chap with the Winchester? If you did wasn't it windy. Nice relaxed shoot more about friends meeting up and enjoying a shoot than anything else. Had quite a bit of free pigeon shooting from the people I've met there. Nice bunch. Hatstand.
