The kids are very hungry now so..... if you've nowt to do, have a look around outside your house tonight, and, you know, see if there's any money lying around. :( :( :( :(

Hey everyone! I've dropped some money somewhere today and it's lost. It's either in an urban area or in the countryside. It's definately somewhere in UK or europe. There are coins of any size as well as mixed loose notes. So, if you find any money over the next few months.....or years, then it's mine and I would be most grateful if you would return it to me. :( :( :( :( :( :(
  3. But who buys her snap in the first place? :(
  4. I personally prefer spaniels. But I think Labs are easier to train if you haven't done it before. What will the dog be required to do? Most important, how much expensive dog food will it eat? :(

Yes, could be either #### or dead animals. They do it to cover their scent. It's an instinct thing. It just shows that your dog takes shooting seriously!
  6. It'll save paying Gym membership fees too! :(
  7. I've used "rubber chickens" and find them, very good.
  8. Being tight, I would say £150 to £200, for an 1100, is about right. I'm assuming it's second hand.

Ahhhhh, I thought I was the only one wearing the sexy stockings that hold themselves.... up.. on........ Anyway, they most certainly are not cheap! :(

To get the ball rolling..................... Don't you think everything's expensive in the shops? :( :(
  11. #### #### ####
  12. Now't wrong with that Dave, it's called a "cannon", but not gamebirds on the ground!
  13. If you have permission to shoot 'em, then walk 'em up and get at 'em! And, if you are serious, no they won't all die if you take one or two out of the covey. :(
  14. I think gun prices are extortionate. I paid £75 for an OU a few months back, I was depressed for weeks after blowing all that much. The kids were hungry too!
  15. Well........ I got a 12v cordless from Argos for £9.99. Don't need it so I might as well play. In actual fact I was going to take the motor out as an alternative to using a wiper motor, but that cradle seems good (and cheap).
  16. Amazin' isn't it! I am just in the process of making the same thing!
  17. Kev, personally I have never baited a field for pigeons, probably 'cos I'm too tight to spend money on pigeon grub, but to be honest I don't see the problem. I've baited traps for other pests and I've used feed to keep pheasants. No problem.
  18. While sitting in my hide one day, I was amazed to find that I had been joined by a weasel. I spilled my coffee as I jumped up. He ran away up the hedge, until I could get a cartridge in....... I think he was interested in the pigeons the dog had retrieved.
  19. White wing bars are usually present on even young woodpigeon. I've never seen one without them except sqabs in the nest. So, if there are no wing bars they are not woodpigeon. Rock doves, otherwise known as blue rocks or skivvies are much smaller than woodpigeon, they are bluer in colour and a bloody nuisance because they mix with flocks of woodpigeon.
  20. [quote Malc now i know why you said you dont need a rotary device.<!--QuoteEnd--> Sorry, I'm not with you?
  21. Best tip was from a rough old farm yakker in Yorkshire when I was looking across his 600 acre farm with my binoculars and seeing no pigeons at all. He said, "*** thee sen down t' pub lad, t'oad pigeons al' bi arund when t'weather changes. T' back end o' t' week 'l be y' best bet." He was right, a frost came at the weekend and there was pigeons all over his young rape. He saw me leaving the farm with a good few birds that weekend and commented on how right he had been in saying that woodpigeons change their feeding habits with the weather. I agree with him.
  22. Look after the pennies....................You can't beat being thrifty!
