Thanks for all replys. I've settled on a pair of saloman quest gtx boots.got them from go outdoors who matched the price plus another 10% off and threw in a bottle of waterproof spray .

Not be long before the news channels are making there announcements about the big freeze on its way and worst winter in 50 years when we get to a temperature of 5 degrees.

The lad I got it from used it for his flymo on allotment it may be 17000 I will double check.when I used it on my flymo it barely turned the blade.it has stood a while since he last used it I do know that.

I recently obtained a portable generator from a friend .the power is 1700 thing is the engine runs fine but there is little power output. I'm considering sending it to a shop for repair but thought I'd ask the knowledgeable members for any advise before hand.
